The most successful trade show focused on strengthening defense and security took place at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The 18th IDET international fair, together with the PYROS and ISET fairs, was a comprehensive showcase of new technologies and options for countering various security risks. This year, more than 650 exhibiting companies from 35 countries were featured and over 35 thousand visitors visited the fairs in the course of three days.

The new Czech Pandur 8x8 EVO vehicle, presented by Tatra Defence Vehicle, a CSG Group company, had its world premiere at IDET. It is not just a vehicle, but an entire modular platform with its own ecosystem, in the development and production of which the Czech Republic participates in more than two thirds. The symbolic christening was performed by the Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochová, who bravely hit the world's newest vehicle with a stream of champagne in front of a crowd of journalists.

The FROM…TO project brings together dozens of artists, styles, and approaches to quilt art. Originating from the training courses “Let’s Talk About Quilt Art!” led by Ildikó Polyak, it traces a journey from searching for one’s own artistic voice to confident independent creation, from inspiration to realization, and from tradition to free artistic expression.

Marijke van Welzen creates wearable art that tells stories. Her colorful coats and jackets are created using an intuitive textile collage technique and captivate with their richness of detail, texture, and color. The DREAMCOATS collection presents textiles as a free medium full of imagination, experimentation, and personal expression.

The exhibition "Pas de Deux" connects the work of two prominent textile artists. Together, they represent a dialogue between tradition and the present, experimentation and craftsmanship, individuality and collaboration. Their works are a declaration of love for textile art, detail, and the courage to cross boundaries.

ABB is returning to the AMPER trade fair.

At their stand, you will see the SACE Emax 3 air circuit breaker, the only one in the world with IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 cybersecurity certification, the ABB InSite energy management system, which enables energy savings of up to 20% in any switchboard, and the new generation of ABB-flexTronics® WL devices for home electrical installations.

ABB returns to the prestigious AMPER trade fair, where, under the motto "ENTER THE WORLD OF INNOVATION," it will present its key innovations in the field of energy and smart residential construction.

The family-owned company ECOGLASS will present glass optics manufactured using unique hand-pressing technology at the AMPER 2026 trade fair. Thanks to its in-house development, long-standing tradition, and comprehensive services, it offers solutions for a wide range of lighting applications, from transportation to public spaces.

Elektro Bečov will be presenting itself at the AMPER 2026 trade fair as a manufacturer of electrical fasteners, focusing on screwless terminals for electrical installations. Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the current portfolio and new products in this area.

In 2026, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University (CTU) will once again be represented at the largest international trade fair for electrical engineering, automation, communication, and security in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At AMPER 2026, taking place from March 17–19, 2026, at the Brno Exhibition Centre, faculty representatives will present selected technological solutions and demonstrators in the fields of autonomous systems, measurement and sensor technology, cybersecurity, and electric mobility.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pardubice (FEEI UPCE) is one of the leading institutions in the Czech Republic in the fields of development and research of electronic systems, radar and detection systems, automation of technological processes, and artificial intelligence. They will present their projects at AMPER Innovation Hub.

Barry Singleton from Nexus Leeds at the University of Leeds also spoke at the URBIS Smart Cities Meetup 2025 in Brno. As a representative of the partner city of Leeds, he shared his experience in developing digital innovations, living labs, and smart city solutions.
