Gold Medal MSV

A Traditional Competition, Reimagined
The MSV Gold Medal returns in a modernised format that gives innovative exhibits even more opportunity to stand out. It introduces newly organised competition categories, a clearer and simpler entry process, a two-stage evaluation process, a newly appointed expert committee and, above all, attractive benefits for entered exhibits, finalists and winners.
Present your solution to industry professionals, prospective customers, the media and industry representatives, and turn your participation at MSV into a major business and marketing opportunity.
Give Your Innovation the Attention It Deserves
The International Industrial Fair is where industry professionals, business partners, investors, the media and representatives of leading institutions come together. Entering the MSV Gold Medal competition will help your exhibit stand out from the competition and draw attention to its technical, economic and social benefits.
Every entered exhibit will receive a visible label directly at the stand and space across BVV Trade Fairs Brno's communication channels. Exhibits advancing to the final stage will receive even greater media support. Winners can use the award in the long term as a powerful endorsement when promoting the product, conducting business negotiations and communicating with customers.
Three Categories for the Best Industrial Innovations
In 2026, MSV Gold Medals will be awarded in three competition categories:
- MSV Gold Medal for Innovation in Industry,
- Technology Trade Fairs Gold Medal – for exhibits at the specialised PLASTEX, WELDING, PROFINTECH and FOND-EX trade fairs,
- Gold Medal for an Outstanding University Project
One winning exhibit may be selected in each category.
Three Special Awards
Special awards are also a traditional part of the MSV Gold Medal competition. Rather than being linked to exhibits, they recognise inspiring individuals or outstanding exhibitors. Candidates in each category are nominated by the respective award's guarantor.
For this year's competition, we are announcing the following special categories:
Woman in Industry Award
- Guarantor: Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic
Czech Engineering Personality Award
- Guarantor: MM Průmyslové spektrum
BVV Trade Fairs Brno Award
- Guarantor: BVV Trade Fairs Brno
A New Evaluation Process Brings Together Technology, Business and the Media
Entered exhibits will be assessed by a newly appointed expert committee bringing together representatives of academia, professional associations, industry organisations and specialist media. The evaluation will focus not only on the technical standard of the solution, but also on its market readiness, cost-effectiveness, commercial potential, and environmental or social impact.
The competition will take place in two stages. In the first stage, the committee will assess the materials submitted electronically and select the finalists.
The following may advance to the final round:
- 10 exhibits in the MSV Gold Medal for Innovation in Industry category,
- 5 exhibits in the Technology Trade Fairs Gold Medal category,
- 5 exhibits in the Gold Medal for an Outstanding University Project category.
Finalists will receive the finalist benefits package and the opportunity to present their exhibit to the evaluation committee directly at their trade fair stand. This will also bring well-deserved media attention.
Companies whose exhibits do not advance to the final will receive the basic benefits package.
Competition Organisers and Guarantors
The competition is organised and endorsed by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, Brno University of Technology and BVV Trade Fairs Brno.
