JETRO, a Japanese trade and investment promotion organization, is to hold a Japan Pavilion at the International Engineering Fair (MSV 2026) with 15 Japanese companies showcasing advanced manufacturing technologies.

What does modern packaging look like when machines, robots, conveyors and handling equipment are actually running, rather than appearing in catalogues and presentations? Packaging Live at this year’s International Engineering Fair will provide the answer. The long-established live exhibition returns in a new format in 2026. Instead of a single continuous packaging line, Hall A2 will feature several interconnected technology cells, where visitors can see different stages of packaging, automation, marking, identification and handling in operation.

Every piece of plastic packaging carries two values: what it costs to produce, and what it can save in extended producer responsibility (EPR) fees. Good design and documented recycled content increasingly translate into lower fees – which makes certification a financial tool that works for the business, not just an item on a compliance checklist. At MSV and PLASTEX in Brno, 6–9 October 2026 (Hall G1, stand 008), Silk Road Certification will present its certification package: everything a plastic packaging producer needs to demonstrate recycled content and recyclability, under one roof and from a single certification body.

Zlín-based Robot George will present the George humanoid robot in its new metal build at the International Engineering Fair in Brno (6–9 October 2026). The robot is designed for production halls where conventional automation reaches its limits. At stand 237 in Hall F, visitors can meet the robot and the team behind it in person.

Integra Robotics will present the AGIBOT X2 Ultra humanoid robot at its stand in a live demonstration of flexible manipulation. The exhibit will show how artificial intelligence, machine vision and motion control can be combined to automate tasks that are still performed manually in manufacturing.

The winner of each of the three categories will also receive a cash prize of CZK 50,000.
