Packaging Live at MSV 2026 Showcases Technology in Motion: Robotics, Inspection and Packaging Linked in Real-World Applications

October 7, 2026  /  3:23 PM

The International Engineering Fair (MSV) opens its gates at the Brno Exhibition Centre today, and with it comes the launch of Packaging Live. Located in Hall A2, the project presents modern industrial technologies through practical demonstrations. This year's concept brings together robotics, machine vision systems, marking and coding, inspection, packaging, and material handling into a single integrated workflow.

Robotics plays a key role in the exhibition. Arobotics and FANUC demonstrate the handling of products with various shapes and packaging types, palletizing operations, and robotic applications integrated with vision systems. These systems can identify products, determine their position and orientation, and enable robots to adapt their gripping method to real-time conditions. Gimatic showcases several gripper technologies, ranging from lightweight 3D-printed solutions to versatile foam grippers.

Another section focuses on product marking, inspection, and traceability. ONDRÁŠEK INK-JET SYSTEM integrates automatic labeling, variable data printing, code verification, visual inspection, and robotic packaging. Process data are stored in a database, enabling complete product traceability and retrospective inspections. GABEN complements this area with a robotic label application solution.

Packaging technologies are represented by companies such as NEDPAK. Its DETAB vibratory feeder, equipped with vision technology, identifies components and transfers them to the AutoBAG system, which forms a bag, prints a label, and seals the package. The live demonstration uses components supplied by BRALO. Visitors can also see paper void-fill production, coffee packaging, and pallet handling applications.

ALBERTINA presents automation solutions for manufacturing and packaging processes, including the TUBELINE system for filling and sealing tubes, checkweighers, and an autonomous mobile robot designed for internal logistics.

The automation showcase is complemented by material handling equipment from Mátl & Bula. Visitors can view both electric and diesel forklifts, as well as the Combilift electric sideloader displayed outdoors, designed primarily for handling long materials.

ZDVIH servis presents hydraulic and mobile lifting platforms, including solutions for the ergonomic servicing of pallet trucks and forklifts. Its partner L.CH.Oil expands the presentation with industrial lubrication solutions, technical consulting services, and equipment maintenance expertise.

Packaging Live is organized by the Czech marketing, communications, and PR agency EQUICom, which has been preparing the project as an accompanying program of MSV since 2010. Its objective is to present technologies not as isolated exhibits but as interconnected, live production processes.

The project’s activities are also communicated beyond the exhibition hall through media partners TechMagazín, Packaging Herald, and Automa.

During this year's MSV, Packaging Live serves as a place where technology is truly brought to life. Robots, machine vision systems, grippers, packaging machines, and material handling equipment demonstrate how their integration can enhance modern manufacturing, packaging, and logistics operations.
