Student Gallery of the Secondary School of Design in Lysá nad Labem
April 16, 2026 / 2:41 PM
The Secondary School in Lysá nad Labem has a tradition of more than 130 years. Its focus has always been on craftsmanship. The current profile of the school began to take shape in 2004, when it gradually transformed from a school focused exclusively on tailoring studies into an institution offering art and design programmes.
Today, it is the only secondary art school established by the Central Bohemian Region. It offers programmes in graphic design, fashion design, and interior and home accessories design. These are complemented by a non-art-entry programme in production for arts and advertising.

Field of study: Interior and Home Accessories Design
This art programme offers students a wide range of opportunities in the field of interior design. The aim of the teaching is to combine students’ artistic skills with high-quality craftsmanship, help them develop a distinctive creative style, and guide them towards a modern understanding of design as a whole. In addition to spatial projects using various materials (textiles, paper, plastics), students create complete interior design projects—from initial concepts to 3D visualisations.
As part of Brno Patchwork Meeting, we would like to present a selection of student works across all years. In the subject Interior Textile Creation, students work not only with a variety of textile materials but also with non-textile ones. For each assignment, they aim to achieve the best possible result while applying knowledge and skills from other subjects.
