Sunday afternoon at Brno Patchwork Meeting belonged to the final ceremonial moment of this year’s edition – the announcement of the winners of the visitors’ competition in the Czech and International Quilt category. Here, the visitors themselves had the final say, casting votes throughout all three days for their favourite works among 35 selected quilts.

The competition once again showed how differently people perceive the beauty of textile art. While expert juries evaluate technical execution and artistic concept, visitors choose mainly with their hearts – guided by emotions, colours, stories, and personal impressions. The result was a strong and remarkably diverse top five.

Fifth place went to the quilt Pink Dahlia by Eva Linhartová, while fourth place was awarded to Spring Delight by Lenka Kopačynská and Monika Vágnerová.

Third place was awarded to Autumn in Nelepč by Jaroslava Grycová, and second place went to Kateřina Kovářová for her quilt Flower Bed.

The absolute winner of the visitors’ competition was the quilt From Grandma’s Basket by the Patchfanynky club. This work received the highest number of visitor votes and won the main prize – a Brother sewing machine.

The competition prizes were donated by the exhibition partners STRIMA Czech, Haišman, Šicí technika BROTHER, and the PRYM brand, all of whom have long supported not only the exhibitors, but also the competitive part of the exhibiton itself.

The announcement of the visitors’ competition winners symbolically concluded this year’s Brno Patchwork Meeting. It once again confirmed that patchwork is not only a technical discipline, but above all an art form capable of captivating a wide audience and connecting professionals with enthusiastic visitors. This year’s Brno Patchwork Meeting thus ended in a festive atmosphere – celebrating the very best works, thanking its partners, and inviting everyone to the next edition full of inspiration, colours, and textile creativity.
