BIOMASA Will Showcase Everything for the Energy Use of Wood Biomass

March 2, 2026  /  2:17 PM

This year’s BIOMASA – Renewable Energy in Agriculture and Forestry Fair will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 12 to 15 April. At the same time, visitors will be able to attend the new AGRISHOW Fair for crop and livestock production, the International Forestry and Hunting Fair SILVA REGINA, and the National Livestock Exhibition. Together, these events create a comprehensive fair complex focused on crop and livestock production, forestry, and hunting.

Energy from Wood Biomass

The BIOMASA fair will be located in Pavilion Z and the surrounding outdoor areas. Most exhibits will focus on the energy use of wood biomass and on technologies for processing agricultural and forestry biomass.

Boiler manufacturers such as OPOP, ATMOS, VIAFLAMES, Petrojet Trade (Multibio) and others will present their products. Visitors will also see biomass processing equipment—including shredders and chippers—at the stands of MOUDER, DŘEVO-PRODUKT SV, Biber, and additional exhibitors will showcase technologies for pellet and briquette production, as well as finished combustible products.

Because BIOMASA is closely linked to SILVA REGINA, visitors will find many exhibits related to forest biomass processing also within the forestry fair.

Expert Lectures

BIOMASA 2026 will also feature a professional lecture programme focused on current topics in the field of renewable energy. The lectures will take place on Sunday, 13 April, on the stage in Pavilion Z and will offer expert views on:

  • sustainable development of biomass, biogas, and biomethane in the Czech Republic,
  • quality and availability of wood biomass for energy production,
  • current use of energy biomass by Czech state forests and future plans,
  • bioeconomy and circular economy,
  • the role of composting in renewable energy,
  • the use of forest biomass from thinnings and prunings for composting and combustion.

The fair will also include the GRAND PRIX competition, where exhibits from BIOMASA exhibitors will be evaluated and awarded.
