Tractors in Action, Smart Technologies, and Outstanding Breeding Work: Four Days in Brno Showcased the Future of Czech Agriculture and Forestry at Its Best
April 15, 2026 / 5:00 PM
A new format of agricultural and forestry trade fairs, led by the premiere AGRISHOW, offered a comprehensive overview of trends in crop and livestock production, animal husbandry, forestry, and hunting. The success of the event was underscored by the strongest attendance since 2018 – 32,000 visitors passed through the exhibition gates on the first day alone, and total attendance reached 85,000.
Innovations for agriculture were comprehensively presented by the International Trade Fair for Crop and Livestock Production AGRISHOW, held together with the National Livestock Exhibition. At the same time, the International Forestry and Hunting Trade Fair SILVA REGINA and the Biomass Trade Fair for Renewable Energy Sources in Agriculture and Forestry (BIOMASA) took place.
The exhibition complex covered 60,000 m² and occupied most of the Brno Exhibition Centre – six of the largest pavilions as well as extensive outdoor areas. A total of 822 companies from 17 countries were represented in one place.
“The new concept of the AGRISHOW agricultural fair, which connected crop and livestock production, has proven successful. Thanks to this, we were able to offer a comprehensive view of modern agriculture in all its breadth, including current trends within the Smart Farm project and dynamic machinery demonstrations in the AGRI ARENA. The related sectors then broadened the scope to the entire issue of landscape management. We are therefore very pleased with the enormous interest from the public and especially from professionals, which confirms that a broadly conceived exhibition is the right path,” summarized this year’s edition Jan Kubata, CEO of Veletrhy Brno.
Large Machines in Action, Smart Technologies, and Expert Debates
An attractive new feature was the outdoor AGRI ARENA polygon near Pavilion Z – a special dynamic zone designed for practical demonstrations of tractors and handlers in real operation. The project, including guided presentations, test drives, and competitions, was organized in cooperation with the Association of Agricultural Machinery Importers.
The Smart Farm project took place for the second time, highlighting the latest technologies and trends for efficient and sustainable farming. The program, created in cooperation with university experts, focused on a different topic each day – from precision agriculture and digitalization to animal monitoring and modern forestry technologies.

The fairs were opened by the Minister of Agriculture Martin Šebestyán, and a number of VIP foreign guests also attended, including a Serbian delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamočič.
The international dimension was further emphasized by accompanying events featuring leading experts – the Czech Agrarian Chamber conference on Adaptation of Agriculture to Climate Change and the Central European Veterinary Congress.
A Top Showcase of Czech Animal Breeding
The National Livestock Exhibition presented the excellent results of Czech breeders – from beef and dairy cattle to sheep, goats, pigs, and a rich program dedicated to horses. More than 600 farm animals were presented, and visitors could watch national championships of beef breeds as well as commented competitions and showcases of dairy cattle at three separate show rings.
A new feature was a Sunday educational and competition program dedicated to dairy breeds.
The fairs also included a Beekeeping Exhibition showcasing modern beekeeping. Another novelty was the Festival of Flavours, Wine and Beer, featuring an attractive accompanying program and participation of small and craft breweries, family wineries, and regional food producers.
Forestry Machinery, Energy Use of Wood, and Top-Class Trophies
The traditional SILVA REGINA fair offered a comprehensive overview of modern forestry machinery and rich hunting traditions. Visitors could explore a complete range of equipment for forestry work, including innovative exhibits focused on sustainable management.
The accompanying BIOMASA fair comprehensively presented technologies for the energy use of woody biomass. Due to the current situation on the energy market, there was strong interest in solutions for local renewable energy sources. The event also included an expert lecture block on sustainable development and the energy potential of soil and forests.
Hunting enthusiasts were attracted by the accompanying program on the U Lípy stage in Pavilion Z, featuring a varied mix of lectures and demonstrations, including game calling, hunting cynology, and birds of prey presentations. A major attraction was an extensive exhibition of 350 trophies, and the popular STIHL Timbersports event was not missing.
Twelve AGRISHOW and SILVA REGINA Gold Medals for Innovative Exhibits
This year’s edition saw record interest in the exhibits competition. Exhibitors submitted 54 exhibits, from which the evaluation committee selected 12 award-winning innovations.

They Said About the Fair
Martin Šebestyán, Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic
“I am very pleased that this format of agricultural and forestry trade fairs has been created and that it is so successful. I had my Serbian counterpart, the Minister of Agriculture, here with me, and he was absolutely delighted by the scale and the format of the event. It is very important that such events take place and that we can exchange experience, discuss the latest know-how and modern approaches to our work.”
Václav Hlaváček, Vice-President of the Czech Agrarian Chamber
“I am extremely happy that we have managed to build on the tradition of the TECHAGRO and SILVA REGINA trade fairs. We are witnessing how important a role agriculture and food production play in our country. It is a pleasure to see crowds of satisfied visitors here, because there is no better reward. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to organizing this outstanding and truly impressive event.”
Martin Pýcha, President of the Agricultural Union of the Czech Republic
“I am glad that after forced breaks we are meeting here again. The situation in agriculture is not easy; for the third year in a row, commodity prices have been below production costs and livestock product prices are declining. All the more I appreciate that the exhibition centre has been filled with exhibitors and visitors alike. Today we are dealing with the availability of energy or fertilizers, but a visit to this fair helps us ask an important question: what would it be like if we did not have our high-quality domestic food? Let us value the work of our farmers, which is of world-class quality.”
MOREAU AGRI – Vít Uhlíř, Sales Director
“For us, this was a new concept that we entered with certain expectations, but also with some uncertainty. After a few days, however, we can see that it makes sense – not only our existing customers came, but also new ones whom we would otherwise reach only with difficulty. New contacts are crucial for us. Our stand was repeatedly full during the day, especially at peak hours, and we rate the organization positively; everything ran smoothly.”
AGROTEC – Markéta Pilná, Marketing
“The organization on the part of the exhibition centre was very professional and helpful throughout the preparation and the fair itself. In terms of attendance, Sunday was traditionally the strongest day, with the general public arriving as well. On the other days, professional visitors, students and older generations of farmers prevailed. It was important for our customers that they could inspect the machinery in detail and try it out, which they used extensively.”
STROM PRAHA – Zdeněk Šmíd, Product Specialist
“From my point of view, it was a very successful event, and we were especially surprised by the high attendance. Compared to previous years, it was clear that agricultural machinery attracts not only professionals but also the general public. Many visitors came specifically because of the John Deere brand, which they also follow on social media. I also appreciate the distribution of exhibits across the entire exhibition grounds, thanks to which visitors had the machinery constantly in sight. Overall, we are satisfied with the course of the fair.”
AGRIO – Ivan Olšan, Owner
“It is certainly important for us to be here. We are regular participants and have not missed a single year since 2004. As a smaller company, we would never achieve such attendance on our own. From our point of view, it is a success – many people come and leave satisfied. Compared to previous years, the exhibition was significantly enlivened by the animals, so for us it was truly successful.”
AGROZET – Dita Fišerová, Marketing
“The feedback is definitely positive. There are many visitors, and it was clear that everyone was waiting to see how the exhibition would return after the break. Considering that this is the first edition, I think it turned out very well. Customers came from all over the country, which pleasantly surprised us.”
ForPlants – Lukáš Mrkva, Product Manager
“For us, the fair is a major benefit because we are a new company on the market. Thanks to long-term relationships with manufacturers, however, we are building on previous experience. It is an event for dealers and suppliers, and at the same time a social occasion. Attendance is surprisingly high, and we are glad that most of our partners came. From my point of view, satisfaction.”
Austro Diesel – Radim Vlčko, Representative for Massey Ferguson in the Czech Republic
“It is a unique opportunity to meet customers and partners in one place. The fair also has a strong social dimension and connects people across the entire industry. This year, attendance really surprised me – there are many people and enormous interest. For me, the feedback is absolutely excellent.”
SYNPRO – Radim Košutek, Owner
“We like synergy, when things work together – and that is exactly what has been achieved here. The connection of several fairs brought in a truly large number of people, which is visible at every step. When we were receiving the award, there were already more than thirty thousand visitors on the very first day, which is a great number. From our perspective, it is very positive and clearly shows that the concept makes sense.”
TEMAK – František Králík, Sales Representative
“The greatest benefit I see is personal contact with customers. People can look at a machine online, but seeing it in person is always completely different – we can explain everything, show details and share practical experience. We often then arrange testing directly at their premises. Attendance is high, especially the first days were really strong, so we are satisfied.”
AGRAFA – Jaroslav Dolejš, Sales Manager
“For us, it is important to attend the fair mainly because of customer contact, as this region is interesting for us. People come here who have a genuine interest in technology and want to discuss specific solutions for their practice. From the exhibitor’s point of view, we are satisfied so far; attendance is good and we will see how it develops further.”
Zetor – Adam Žert, Sales and Marketing Director
“I have to take my hat off to what has been built over the past few years. The exhibition concept is significantly different from before, and the connection of crop and livestock production works very well. It brings a large number of people here, which is also noticeable at our stand. At peak hours, it is almost impossible to get through – people wait to get into the tractor cab, and the interest in machinery is truly enormous.”
OPaLL AGRI – Petr Jedlička, Sales Director
“We consider this year’s edition to be very successful. Compared to the past, the exhibition is more diverse, and the connection with livestock production and the accompanying program attracts more visitors. It is clear that people have come and are interested. For us, this is important not only because of business contacts, but also as an investment in the future – those relationships often pay off several years after the fair.”
Association of Agricultural Machinery Importers – Martin Jurkovič, Executive Director
“After the past few days, we can evaluate the high attendance of the fair very positively – not only in absolute numbers, but especially in terms of visitor quality. For our companies, it is crucial that relevant potential customers came and that a large number of contacts with business potential for the coming years were established. There is also great interest in the accompanying program, especially tractor rides on the demonstration polygon, where queues form almost constantly and the machines are in full operation all day.”
MIKROP Čebín – Dušan Drápal, CEO
“I have been working at the company for 27 years and remember the very beginnings of Techagro. This year’s exhibition partly builds on this strong tradition, and it is clear that people like to return here – many still perceive it as Techagro. Attendance is high, people are coming to Brno, but in the future it will be important to attract even more exhibitors so that the offer is as broad as possible. For us, however, the fair has clearly fulfilled its purpose.”
DeLaval – Pavel Kupka, Sales Manager
“This year we were very pleased with the awards we received at the exhibition – and even two of them, which we honestly did not expect. Another big surprise for us was the high attendance. What especially caught our attention was that even on Sunday, when families with children usually dominate, a large number of professionals and farmers came, which is key for us.”
AGETE – Karel Hejný, Product Manager
“We are very satisfied with the exhibition, especially in terms of attendance. Traditionally, the largest number of visitors arrived on Sunday, including families with children. For us, however, it is particularly important that we meet customers from Moravia, where we normally do not operate as intensively. Thanks to the fair, we have the opportunity to establish new contacts and personally meet people we would otherwise not encounter during the year.”
Milkservis – Jana Svobodová, Operations Director
“We are extremely satisfied. To be honest, we expected a calmer course, especially on Sunday, but the opposite was true – we were practically non-stop busy. It is clear that people missed the fair. Many important meetings took place, and we also met foreign partners from Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland. At the same time, I would like to thank the organizers for the exhibition stand, which turned out very well and has received positive feedback.”
LUKROM – Jana Solanská, Marketing and Foreign Trade
“We evaluate the organization of the fair very positively; everything was professional and without complications. We have long-term good experience with the implementation of exhibition stands at the Brno Exhibition Centre, and this year was no exception. Attendance pleasantly surprised us – both from the general public and especially from professionals, who are key for us. We are glad we could be part of this event and present our industry.”
ROmiLL AGRICULTURE – Denisa Vopálková, Marketing
“We appreciate that the exhibition has been combined and presents agriculture in a comprehensive way – both technology and livestock production. Attendance was, in our opinion, slightly higher than two years ago. On the other hand, we expected more new customers, as there were many families with children among the visitors. Nevertheless, it is still a valuable opportunity for us to meet existing clients and strengthen relationships. Overall, we evaluate the exhibition positively.”
Dagmar Bednářová, Import Manager, AGROING BRNO s.r.o.
“We exhibit here regularly and have participated in every single edition since the very beginnings of the TECHAGRO fair up to the current AGRISHOW. We are here mainly because of personal contact, which no web search can replace. So for us it is, to some extent, also a social event. We do not conclude million-euro contracts here, but it is important for us to be present.”
Tomáš Baloun, Head of Sales Department, BD Tech a.s.
“This year we have a significantly larger stand compared to the previous edition – and we are happy about it. We wanted to present our technologies on a larger scale, because due to strict biosecurity measures, breeders often no longer allow visitors into their operations, but here they can see and touch our technologies.”
František Šedivý, Technologist and Sales Representative, AGRICO s.r.o.
“We perceive the fair as an ideal place to meet customers and discuss their plans and needs. The AGRISHOW concept is new, so we were not entirely sure who would come. But it turned out well, and we can say that we are satisfied with our participation.”
Martin Křivka, Head of Promotion, FARMTEC a.s.
“The new AGRISHOW concept builds on the former TECHAGRO, which we have always considered a very important event. In this respect, nothing fundamentally changes. The combination of livestock and crop production and the presentation of brands makes sense. The Czech Republic is not a large country, so such a concentration of the industry in one place is, in my opinion, the right step.”
ESCUBE, s.r.o. – Iva Ambrosová, CEO
“The award we received here from the expert jury two years ago is an important signal for professional customers such as agronomists or orchardists. It essentially works as a ‘door opener’ for us – it helps us reach customers to whom we can then present the product in detail. Participation in the previous edition significantly boosted our marketing, and this year we see strong interest from both professionals and hobby customers. I also appreciate the high level of organization and the more professional visitor profile.”
REPAROSERVIS – Břetislav Olexa, Marketing Specialist
“In his view, the fair ranks among the largest of its kind in Central Europe. Tens of thousands of people visit it over four days, bringing exhibitors strong feedback and new business opportunities. ‘We are used to presenting machines directly in the forest, where they can show their full power. That is not possible here, but we have prepared presentation screens and videos so that visitors can see how the machines work in real conditions,’ adds Olexa.”
Swarovski Optik – Ing. Zdeněk Hlavačka, Country Manager for the Czech and Slovak Republics
“Within the industry, this is a very interesting meeting point not only for traditional hunters, but especially for foresters, as this exhibition is strongly focused on forestry. At the same time, we also see that many farmers are interested in this area. For us, it is a great opportunity to present innovations and showcase our products to a truly wide audience.”
Armed.cz – Kateřina Nováková
“This is our very first time exhibiting at the fair, and honestly, we did not know exactly what to expect. So far, we had participated mainly in smaller events, so this was a big change for us. We had some concerns about whether we would manage everything organizationally, but in the end, attendance and overall interest pleasantly surprised us. We were afraid that people would mostly just look around, ask questions and try things out, but they are actually buying here, which is great. And even those who did not purchase anything are interested in the company and say they will visit our brick-and-mortar store. From this perspective as well, participation in the fair is a major benefit for us.”
Merimex Slovensko – Tomáš Salaj, Head of Service
“Participation in the fair is very beneficial for Merimex Slovensko. A large number of visitors pass through the stand, and interest in the exhibited machinery is consistently high, providing valuable feedback and new contacts. People are coming in great numbers and interest is strong. The exhibition is productive for us, so we are very satisfied with our participation. I expect that we will return again in two years.”
P & L, spol. s r.o. – Ing. Vít Struhal, IRUM Specialist
“We are traditional exhibitors. Two years ago, interest was high, but this year it is, in my opinion, two to three hundred percent higher. We have truly enormous attendance. The greatest attention is drawn to our new SKIDDER from Romania. People know it from the internet and videos, so they were pleased to see it live. We are glad we managed to bring it here.”
