Wiha Brings a Measurement Revolution to AMPER: A Tester That Creates and Signs the Report on Its Own

At this year’s AMPER trade fair, the German family-owned brand Wiha is presenting an innovation that shifts the world of professional tools toward full digitalization. The key highlight of the exhibit is the MFT and PET testers — devices that connect measurement technology with a virtual environment and automated documentation.
“This year we’re focusing primarily on our flagship innovation, which we consider a revolution in the tool market. The testers connect physical measurements with an app that automatically creates reports,” explains Maja Sikorska, Marketing Manager CEE. In practice, this means a major simplification of work for electricians and service technicians. While traditional measurement requires manual documentation after each test, Wiha’s new system handles everything automatically. “Administrative work usually takes around ten minutes. Our app creates and signs the document in three seconds,” adds Michał Moczyński, Vice President of Wiha Poland.
The result is an instantly generated PDF protocol that can be handed over to a customer or an internal department as confirmation that the tests were performed correctly. Digitalization thus saves time, reduces the risk of errors, and streamlines document archiving. For professionals who perform dozens of measurements per day, this represents a significant boost in efficiency.
Participation at AMPER is strategically important for the brand. The Czech Republic is one of the key markets in the Central and Eastern European region. “We want to be closer to end users. At the fair, they can not only try our tools but also buy them and take them home right away. That’s quite unique for this event,” says Maja Sikorska. The high interest is confirmed by the steady lines at the booth.
Wiha is a family-owned company with more than 85 years of history, now managed by the third generation of owners. Production takes place in five factories worldwide, with the main manufacturing still located in Germany. The brand specializes in professional tools for industry and electricians.
At AMPER, Wiha demonstrates that even the traditional hand tool segment can undergo a technological revolution. Connecting measurement, a digital app, and automated reporting marks a significant step toward the digital future of electrical work.
