The AMPER International Trade Fair for Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy has successfully entered a new era under the direction of the company BVV Trade Fairs Brno. Industry market leaders were certainly not missing among the 468 exhibiting companies from 33 countries. The format of the AMPER STAGE interactive programme center directly in the hall, and new features such as the DronyX or Smart Industry conferences have proven to be successful. Over the three days, the expo was visited by more than 27 thousand visitors, mainly technicians not only from the presented industries, but also from related and customer sectors.

"We are really pleased with the high interest from exhibitors and visitors, the return of major companies and the positive feedback on the new features in the programme. We also appreciate the outstanding involvement of expert partners and the quality of sideline activities, which focused on current topics across industries. I believe that we have managed to lay a solid foundation for the further development of the AMPER trade fair as a key platform for electrical engineering, energy and industrial innovation in Central Europe," said Jan Kubata, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno.

VIP participation of the government, business associations and companies

The trade fair was opened by Karel Havlíček, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, who reminded that the presented industries are the supporting columns of our economy. He also participated in the AMPER SUMMIT expo conference, where he presented the government's strategy in the field of energy. The official evening opening was attended by the Minister of Defense Jaromír Zůna and the Minister of the Environment Igor Červený. VIP guests also included the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic Zdeněk Zajíček, the President of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic Jan Rafaj and the Executive Director of the Energy Association of the Czech Republic Josef Kotrba. For the whole three days, the Electrical Engineering Association, which is the expo's professional partner, was actively involved in the trade fair happenings.

This year's exhibition also had a strong presence on the exhibitors' side. A number of important players returned to the expo, which were also added on to by new companies with their first–time participation. Together with the traditionally represented brands, this year's exhibition confirmed the growing importance of AMPER as a key meeting place for experts in the field of electrical engineering and energy.

Alongside commercial exhibitions, the educational sphere was also given space. The AMPER Innovation Hub presented exhibitions of important universities, colleges and startups. The project focused on examples of student involvement in practice and on connecting the academic sphere with industry. Eight university departments from Czechia and Slovakia presented themselves in the section.

Electromobility was the driving force

The AMPER E–MOBILITY section, together with the E–STAGE programme stage, aroused great interest. Test drives were held in the adjacent open area, with great interest from visitors, and the exhibits also featured charging infrastructure, including unique Czech solutions that are the result of our own development. But most importantly, the latest electric cars from various brands were displayed.

At the ZHT Group stand, visitors could get acquainted with two major new products from Kia – the Kia EV5 family electric car with a large usable space and the Kia PV5 Cargo commercial van, which, thanks to its modularity, is also suitable for service purposes, for example, by the city police. Hedin Automotive presented two major new products from Mercedes Benz with an electric drive. The new GLB and GLC models bring revolutionary technologies, a long range and significantly greater practicality for families. The Suzuki eVitara made its trade fair debut at the CanoCar stand. The Agrotec exhibition premiered the Czech Car of the Year 2026, the Škoda Elroq – a model that came in second in the European Car of the Year poll and was also available for test drives on site.

Successful debut of AMPER STAGE

Under the new organiser, the fair's extra programme also entered a new era. The three–day AMPER STAGE brought discussions and interesting presentations directly in Hall P. Each day focused on one key topic: cybersecurity, energy and industrial efficiency or the digital transformation of Czech industry. "We designed AMPER STAGE so that everyone could find something for themselves – craftsmen and small and medium–sized companies from our field, representatives of other industries for which we are subcontractors, as well as students. They were all finding out where the world of digital transformation is heading to. We benefited from the contact with people directly on the floor, which is livelier than in the closed spaces of conference rooms," said Jiří Holoubek, president of the Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic, which organized AMPER STAGE together with the Brno University of Technology.

Conference with new topics: from drones to community energy

The DronyX expert conference, prepared by Jan Homola in cooperation with the CZ DEFENCE magazine, brought key players to Brno on whom the development and strategic applications of unmanned vehicles for the defense forces depend. "The high importance of the topic was underlined by the personal patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Jaromír Zůna and the active participation of senior officers who deal with the issue of autonomous means and defense against them in the Czech Army. The event, with almost 250 participants, was attended by two dozen companies that are among the Czech pioneers in drone and anti–drone technologies," Jan Homola evaluated the new

DronyX conference.

The new event also included the annual SMART INDUSTRY – AMPER EDITION conference, focused on market education and supporting the modernisation of industrial enterprises. "The connection of our traditional conference and the newly conceived AMPER trade fair pleasantly surprised us. It brought great interest from industry experts, to whom we were able to present modern solutions for domestic industry. In terms of interest, the event certainly did meet our expectations," appreciated the event Lukáš Smelík, project organiser for Trade Media International. The project also featured a special exhibition that presented specific solutions in the areas of digitisation of maintenance, data work, advanced visualisations, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.

The completely occupied hall where the conference of the Union of Community Energy (UKEN) was held confirmed the growing interest in this issue. “After the successful launch of electricity sharing, we now need to define other benefits of community energy, such as stability, energy self–sufficiency, strengthening the local economy and greater involvement of people in decision–making,” said Sandra Čumić, UKEN project coordinator.

The Open 5G Hub Brno was officially launched during the expo – a new testing zone designed to verify smart and innovative solutions in a real-life environment. The basis is the use of a private 5G network supplied by T–Mobile. The project is part of the BVV Living Lab Brno living laboratory and will offer facilities for testing and demonstrating technologies across the areas of smart cities, industry 4.0 and future mobility.

The Contact–Contract networking project was held for the first time at the AMPER fair; 500 planned B2B meetings between participants from 25 countries took place as part of it. In addition to the new products, established events such as the AMPER SUMMIT focused on key strategies for the development of modern energy continued. The organisation was supported by the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic and the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the South Moravian Region. The main partner was the ČEZ Group.

The GOLDEN AMPER 2026 award was handed out to six innovative exhibits. The RiLineX busbar system from Rittal, which simplifies and speeds up the design and installation of power switchboards, was awarded. The expert jury awarded the 3MI instrument for the MetOp–SG satellite, exhibited by the Institute of Microelectronics, FEEC, BUT, as the best digital solution. In the sustainable solution category, the company Innomotics and its permanent magnet motors won. In the safety category, the SACE Emax 3 air circuit breaker from ABB was awarded. His electromagnetic accelerator project focuses on the design and implementation of a device that accelerates a metal object using electromagnetic force.

The Industrial Design Award was handed for the first time at the AMPER expo. In this case, the exhibitors did not apply for the competition, but the expert jury selected the winners from all the exhibits displayed. The first prize went to the 2N IP ONE INTERCOM product, manufactured by the company 2N Telekomunikace. The second prize went to the C1X CAMERA product, exhibited by Moravské přístroje. The third prize for industrial design from the AMPER fair went to OlifeEnergyx for its AC LITE charging station product.
