URBIS 2025 has officially started! Brno once again becomes the capital of smart solutions for cities and municipalities

June 10, 2025  /  11:40 AM

The URBIS 2025 trade fair and conference has just kicked off at the Brno Exhibition Centre, promising a vibrant first day full of inspiration, innovation, and experience-sharing. The topic of smart cities is more relevant than ever, and URBIS once again confirms its role as a unique platform connecting municipalities, experts, startups, and companies that offer practical solutions for public administration and everyday life.

A key focus of this year’s URBIS is the use of artificial intelligence. AI is helping to work faster, smarter, and more efficiently. It is becoming an essential tool for modernizing cities and public administration—improving traffic management, monitoring air quality, optimizing energy networks, and enhancing waste management. In public services, AI contributes to streamlining administrative processes, automating routine tasks, and accelerating communication with citizens.

This year’s URBIS is located in halls A1 and A2 and on the surrounding outdoor areas, with participation from around 200 companies and institutions. The main conference venue is the Rotunda hall, with three additional program stages (Agoras) located on the exhibition floor. Nearly 400 speakers will take part in the conference, including international guests from countries such as Spain, Germany, Norway, the USA, and the UK.

The fair runs until Thursday, June 12. The exhibition is open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM, and until 4 PM on Thursday. Attendance at the trade fair and conference is possible upon prior registration via the event website. Representatives of municipalities and the academic sector are granted free entry to URBIS.
