EYE 2000 – 30 Years of Passion for Design and Innovation

EYE 2000 is celebrating 30 years together with the OPTA trade fair and will present collections that reflect its motto “We love glasses.” Visitors can look forward to new design lines from MIDO, creative lenses from the Atelier Kreativ, and distinctive brands such as Löki, Zenka, Minima, and Acid – all with a focus on innovation, unconventional materials, and unique style.

It is hard to believe, but this year our company, just like OPTA, celebrates 30 years since its foundation. Such a milestone invites not only amazement at how quickly time has passed, but also reflection and review.

Over the years, our motto has become “We love glasses.” A message we have been sharing with you, opticians, for 15 years on gift items for wearers of frames from our collections. Because it’s simply true – you cannot sustain a project for so long without passion.

We do not follow the mainstream. Throughout the years, we have searched the world for smaller designer collections that surprise, delight, entertain – and sometimes even shock.
We have always been interested in new materials and technical solutions. Over the years at OPTA, we have won the Top Opta Award for innovation three times.

In our Atelier Kreativ, we design and handcraft decorated lenses that are fitted into rimless Minima frames.

At OPTA, we will bring new releases from MIDO, not only from long-established collections but also from our newcomers – designer reading glasses and sunglasses by Löki.

Be surprised by the new Face Cie 3 line by Zenka, new creative lens shapes from Minima and our Atelier Kreativ, precisely milled acetates by Acid, or the men’s Cogan frames with temples opening not only to 180°, but also 90° and 270°.
