Please note that the price of the workshop does not include a ticket for the Brno Patchwork Meeting, which must be purchased separately online or at the ticket office at the time of the event.
The discounted price of CZK 632 per course is valid until December 31, 2025. After that, the price will increase to CZK 790.
The course will only take place if at least three people sign up for it. If fewer participants sign up, we will contact you with an offer to switch to another course or refund your money.

Let's make a 3D fabric flower to create an unique brooche, handbag and key ring decoration or use it as a part of your quilt surface.

Karin Ostergaard (Dennmark): Embroidery with Felt
Easy little embroidery for variable further use. You will learn and practise different stitches.

14.00–15.55
Szilvia Kerekgyarto (Hungary): Invisible Hand Applique
You will learn a special technique to create pictorial quilts through the creation of a simple flower pattern.

16.00–18.00
Juliette Eckell (Germany): Textile Manipulation
Impressive 3D surfaces can be created using hand-sewing and crinkling techniques. Even with just a few hand stitches, three-dimensional surfaces are created that can then be painted, gilded, or decorated with beads.

Learn to make a portrait quilt using Watercolour sewing method and some basic computer programs.

You will learn how to design a simple mandala and quilt it in next step by free motion quilting.

Patchwork paper piecing technique. Learn to sew fabric scraps on paper stencil and tear it away. You will get stencil and instructions for a flying swallow.

Learn how to easily transfer images and drawings to fabric. We will work with the flower in the picture to master the technique.

Karin Ostergaard (Dennmark): Sashiko, Boro
Classical Japanese technique used over 500 years mainly on indigo blue fabric. Today we use many color combination. Stitches can be sewn freely or by pattern.

Chantal Guillermet (Francie): Own Initial – Introduction to Linocut
Learn how to carve on a linoplate your own initial or an other motif and how to print it on paper or fabric. Further you will add paint on your print and embellish it with hand embroidery.

Traditional patchwork block made by hand using English Paper Piecing method. You learn how to wrap 12 paper stencils with fabric, to sew these by hand and finish by adding classical hexagons.

Magdolna Acelosne Solymar (Hungary): Faux Mola
This technique is easier than the traditional one as we will leave the edges raw. You can try your own design or make a flower, tree or small landscape.
