For more than twenty years, Vlaďka and Roman Křenek have been dedicated to this craft, offering not only high-quality products at their farm and mini mill, but also the opportunity to experience the entire process firsthand
Describing the winding journey of wool processing – from China to the Czech Republic – would take a long story, but if you are curious, the Křeneks will gladly share it with you during a tour that you can arrange at their small spinning mill.
Why “Jesenické vlnění”? Because the flock of Valachian sheep raised by Vlaďka and Roman graze in protected areas of the Jeseníky Mountains. And it is right there, while watching the content sheep with their woolly coats gently waving in the mountain breeze, that the idea of “Jesenické vlnění” was born.
The Křeneks have been working with wool processing for over twenty years and regularly organise various workshops on their farm – most often focused on wool. Here, you can learn different techniques of wool processing, from traditional methods to modern approaches. Felted garments, fashion accessories, fur vests, knitting, spinning, and more – creativity knows no limits here.
Their new mini spinning mill is able to process even a single fleece separately, without mixing it with wool from other sheep. This allows for the creation of truly unique products. They have already worked on specific commissions, preparing materials for designers. What could be better than being part of the process of creating a material that will become a new fashion collection or a design piece for your home or office?
Their offer includes original wool tops, mohair, and blends enriched with viscose. You will also find both standard and unique art yarns made from different sheep breeds and combined with various materials, as well as felted home accessories, woven rugs, and tanned hides.
