HEDVA Český brokát – tradition brought to life in modern design

The traditional Czech company HEDVA Český brokát will present unique jacquard fabrics at BPM, combining historical patterns with contemporary design. Visitors can look forward to luxurious brocade products as well as materials for their own creations, including a limited edition of traditional folk scarves inspired by archival motifs.
HEDVA ČESKÝ BROKÁT, s.r.o. is a long-established Czech company specialising in the production of jacquard fabrics. Its key products include historical and folk brocades, fabrics for fashion accessories, interior and decorative textiles, linings, and fabrics for ceremonial purposes. The company designs, weaves, and sews all fabrics in-house. Its own design studio ensures that each product is unique and exclusive, yet accessible. In addition to creating its own collections, the company also produces designs based on customer requests, offering a wide variety of patterns and product forms.
At the event, visitors will be able to purchase both finished brocade products and materials. The selection will include brocade cushion covers and tablecloths, admired for their luxurious appearance and decorative patterns, as well as fabric offcuts intended for further creative use.

These brocade offcuts are suitable for a wide range of textile projects – from patchwork and quilts to home décor and creative fashion designs. The assortment includes carefully selected pieces in various colour combinations and designs, appealing to enthusiasts of handicrafts, textile design, and experimental creation. Each piece is chosen with an emphasis on quality, aesthetics, and versatility to offer maximum creative potential.
A current highlight and limited edition are traditional folk scarves available in many colour variations, including a new exclusive cherry shade. Patterns carefully selected from historical books dating back to 1908 come to life in a modern interpretation, while preserving the elegance and heritage carried through generations. Some of these pieces will also be available for viewing and purchase at the event.
HEDVA brocades are widely recognised and have been used by designers such as Lenka Mulabegovič and the brand LAIVA. You can also find HEDVA ČESKÝ BROKÁT, s.r.o. fabrics in castles, chateaux, and prestigious venues such as the National Theatre and the Estates Theatre.
