Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, University of Pardubice will present the results of its long-term cooperation with industrial partners at the AMPER 2026 trade fair.
January 29, 2026 / 6:53 AM
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pardubice (FEEI UPCE) is one of the leading institutions in the Czech Republic in the fields of development and research of electronic systems, radar and detection systems, automation of technological processes, and artificial intelligence. They will present their projects at AMPER Innovation Hub.
An important part of the exhibition at AMPER Innovation Hub is the presentation of the long-term cooperation between FEEI UPCE and companies focusing on joint topics of detection, localization, classification, and identification. FEEI UPCE carries out projects aimed at the development of radar and other detection systems, their subsystems, and algorithms for data, signal, and image processing.
The exhibition presents three specific examples of joint research results that are directly linked to education and students’ final theses:
Multifunction 3D Radar
Detects and tracks ground targets as well as slow-moving, low-altitude, low-RCS objects such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The radar combines electronic beam steering with mechanical rotation of the antenna and provides accurate 3D target coordinates.
Long-range Software-Defined 3D Radar
A fully software-defined system providing precise target position information, including altitude. These data are transmitted to a higher-level command-and-control system to support comprehensive airspace situational awareness.
Video-Analytic System for Perimeter Protection
A demonstration of an intelligent video-analytics system for 3D surveillance and perimeter protection. Using AI-based detection tools, the system not only identifies and tracks relevant events in real time in 3D space, but also predicts potential threats and risks through advanced predictive analytics based on recurrent neural networks.
The FEEI UPCE exhibition at AMPER 2026 presents the complete chain of modern sensor technologies – from signal processing through electronics and software to intelligent decision-making using artificial intelligence. Additional demonstrations highlight the strong interconnection between education, research, and industrial practice.

Technology Driving the Future
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pardubice (FEEI UPCE) is one of the leading institutions in the Czech Republic in the fields of development and research of electronic systems, radar and detection systems, automation of technological processes, and artificial intelligence.
A distinctive feature of FEEI UPCE is the strong integration of education with research and industrial practice. During their studies, students are actively involved in research teams and work on topics that have a direct connection to real-world applications – ranging from radar and communication systems through intelligent sensing to artificial intelligence and data processing.
Study Directly Linked to Research and Practice
The exhibited projects are based on the close integration of education and project-based activities in the following areas:
- Electronics – design and measurement of electronic circuits, high-frequency technology, radar and antenna systems, signal processing;
- Automation – sensor systems, embedded systems, industrial automation, and automatic systems for industry and smart homes;
- Artificial Intelligence – machine learning, computer vision, image recognition, and object detection.
Within semester projects, bachelor’s and master’s theses, as well as doctoral studies, students participate in the development of technologies that are subsequently applied in industrial research and development.
