Beauty from Costa Rica Shines on the Fair catwalk

From Costa Rica to Žatec

The friendly brunette has been modeling since she was 17. In Costa Rica, she participated in Fashion Week shows and worked for numerous fashion brand campaigns. She has loved fashion since she was a child. Fate took her to Germany, where she met her current husband, a Czech. She now lives in Žatec and has a four-year-old daughter with her husband. We caught up with Michelle before the show and asked her a few questions.

Is this your first time at a fashion fair in Brno, and how do you like it here?

I am very happy to be here. For me, it is truly a pleasant experience to be part of this show because I love fashion and admire all the designers here.

Were you a successful model in Costa Rica, and what are your plans for the future?
Maybe I will prepare for Miss Costa Rica, I have had this idea in my head for many years. But now it is more complicated, I have a four-year-old daughter, I am a mom.

How do you feel as a mom?
It is really a demanding job for me, but it is the most beautiful experience I have in life.

Do you think your daughter will continue your passion for fashion?
I think so, because she copies me.

Can you even plan your work while taking care of your daughter?
It is hard because I don’t have my family here. But I have a husband and he supports me in everything I want to do.

What do you do in the Czech Republic and what do you want to focus on?
I try to speak Czech. I want to learn Czech. That is my big goal right now. And of course, I would like to focus on modeling.

Do you have a favorite style?
European style is wonderful to me. And I love swimsuits.

What are your favorite colors and materials?
My favorites are black, white, and bright colors. And for materials, natural ones, for example cotton.

At the fair, we have a competition for young designers. How do you perceive young creation?

The ideas are amazing. It's great to experience their creativity and be there at the very beginning.
