Early Intervention: Professional Support for Families of Children with Disabilities or Premature Births

March 10, 2026  /  8:00 AM

The Society for Early Intervention will present options for professional, cost-free assistance at this year’s Brno trade fair. This support takes place directly in the natural environment of the home. At the "black and white" stand, visitors can learn about visual stimulation and specialized toys, and get answers to questions regarding the healthy development of children up to seven years of age.

The birth of a child is a joyful event. However, some parents face the reality of their baby having health issues, or they may have doubts about whether their child is developing correctly. In such moments, Early Intervention—a free social service that visits families in their own homes—can help.

At the "Pro dítě" (For the Child) trade fair, you can visit the black and white stand of the Society for Early Intervention. The organization guides families of children with visual impairments or developmental difficulties, such as those resulting from premature birth. As experts in visual stimulation, they will showcase specialized toys and aids designed to support a child's visual development.

Early Intervention supports families during periods of fear and uncertainty. The service is provided free of charge to families with children up to seven years old. Our advisors visit families at home on a regular basis, focusing on both the children and the parents. They teach parents how to encourage their child’s development through play and provide comprehensive counseling across the healthcare, education, and social systems.
