Nadace Křižovatka: Raising Awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and the Proper Use of Breathing Monitors

At the Parents’ Advisory Zone at the ProDítě trade fair, visitors will also meet Nadace Křižovatka, which for more than 30 years has been the only organization in the Czech Republic raising awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and ways to protect newborns.
Thanks to the support of donors and sponsors, we help equip Czech hospitals and maternity wards with Babysense 2 Pro breathing monitors – certified medical devices approved by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. These monitors detect breathing pauses, apnea, and irregularities, and trigger an immediate alarm when necessary, enabling a quick response from parents or medical staff.
Babysense 2 Pro
This is a contactless breathing monitor equipped with two sensor pads and an attractively designed control unit with both sound and visual alarm signals. It is intended to detect breathing irregularities and apnea.
Currently, breathing monitors are the only effective tool in the fight against SIDS during the first year of a child’s life.
The Babysense 2 Pro monitor identifies your baby’s breathing patterns, which are processed by a compact microprocessor located in the control unit.
You will also have the chance to win this breathing monitor in the visitor competition during the trade fair.
