Entries are now open for the 60th edition of the prestigious MSV Gold Medal competition. The MSV Gold Medal returns in a modernised format that gives innovative exhibits even more opportunity to stand out. New competition categories, a simpler entry process, two-stage evaluation and attractive benefits will help you present your solution to industry professionals, the media and potential customers.

Give Your Innovation the Attention It Deserves
Every year, the International Industrial Fair brings together industry professionals, business partners, investors, the media and representatives of major institutions. Entering the MSV Gold Medal competition will help your exhibit stand out from the competition and draw attention to its technical, economic and social benefits.
Every entered exhibit will receive prominent signage directly in its exhibition area and visibility across the communication channels of BVV Trade Fairs Brno. Finalists will benefit from enhanced media support, while winners can use the award in the long term as a powerful endorsement in product promotion, business negotiations and customer communications.
Three Categories for the Best Industrial Innovations
The MSV Gold Medals 2026 will be awarded in three competition categories:
- MSV Gold Medal for Innovation in Industry,
- Technology Trade Fairs Gold Medal for exhibits at PLASTEX, WELDING, PROFINTECH and FOND-EX,
- Gold Medal for an Outstanding University Project.
One winning exhibit may be selected in each category.
The competition will also include three special awards: the Woman in Industry Award, the Czech Engineering Personality Award and the BVV Trade Fairs Brno Award. Candidates for these awards are nominated by the respective guarantors.
Every Entrant Benefits
The benefits begin as soon as you enter the competition and increase with every level of success.
Every entered exhibit receives:
- prominent "ENTERED EXHIBIT" signage directly in its exhibition area,
- a feature on the BVV Trade Fairs Brno website and social media channels,
- promotion in information materials and newsletters,
- the opportunity to attract industry professionals even before the trade fair begins.
Finalists also receive:
- prominent "COMPETITION FINALIST" signage,
- enhanced online and media publicity,
- coverage in press releases and trade fair news,
- support from selected trade media and media partners,
- continued promotion after the trade fair.
The winner of each category receives:
- a cash prize of CZK 50,000,
- the prestigious MSV Gold Medal trophy and a diploma,
- the right to use the competition logo when promoting the award-winning exhibit,
- prominent "WINNING EXHIBIT" signage directly in its exhibition area,
- a distinct feature across the communication channels of BVV Trade Fairs Brno,
- media support and editorial coverage in a selected trade publication.
The award will be presented during the trade fair, when the concentration of industry professionals, business partners and media representatives is at its highest.
Expert Evaluation Brings Together Technology, Business and Media Perspectives
Entries will be assessed by a newly appointed committee comprising representatives from academia, industrial and professional institutions, and the trade media. The evaluation will therefore focus not only on the technical quality of each solution, but also on its market readiness, economic efficiency, commercial potential and environmental or social impact.
The competition will take place in two stages. First, the committee will evaluate the electronically submitted materials and select the finalists. The finalists will then present their exhibits to the judges directly in the exhibition area.
