Luger Presents the New Generation of HB-Therm Flow Meters: Flow-6
August 3, 2026 / 12:51 PM
Versatile, Precise, and Cost-Effective. At MSV 2026 Luger will present the latest generation of HB-Therm flow measurement technology: the Flow-6. As the logical evolution of the proven Flow-5, the new system is based on the powerful Thermo-6 platform and sets new standards in process reliability, efficiency, and flexibility.
A key innovation is the extension of HB-Therm’s lifetime warranty to all measuring sections – the core component of every flow meter.
The Flow-6 is available in two versions:
- Flow Meter – dedicated flow monitoring for maximum process reliability
- Flow Controller – integrated flow control for maximum energy and process efficiency
Thanks to its versatile configuration options, the Flow-6 can be optimally adapted to a wide range of applications. Temperature versions for up to 100°C, 160°C, or 180°C, together with configurations featuring four, six, or eight external circuits, ensure an economical and application-specific solution.
Proven Ultrasonic Technology
The Flow-6 utilizes a fully in-house developed ultrasonic measurement system from HB-Therm. This technology enables precise, maintenance-free flow measurement from 0.4 to 40 l/min per circuit, operates in both flow directions, and reliably detects incorrect connections. Since there are no moving parts, the system is highly resistant to contamination and pressure surges.
Robust, Compact, and Energy-Efficient
All media-carrying components are made of stainless steel, ensuring maximum corrosion resistance. Flow-optimized components minimize pressure losses, reducing both energy consumption and wear. The compact design allows installation close to the tool, minimizing pressure and heat losses while improving temperature control performance.
Greater Process Reliability and Higher Efficiency
With the Flow-6, every tool circuit is continuously monitored and documented, allowing deviations to be detected immediately. The controlled version uses advanced proportional valve technology to ensure uniform media distribution and stable temperature conditions. The result is shorter cycle times, greater process stability, and improved part quality.
Via OPC UA and, optionally, DIGITAL, CAN, or Profibus-DP, the Flow-6 can be seamlessly integrated into existing production environments. In combination with the Thermo-6, the number of required temperature control units can also be reduced – lowering operating costs while maintaining maximum process reliability.
