One of the largest and most eye-catching exhibitions at this year’s Brno Patchwork Meeting belonged to Šicí technika Brother s.r.o., led by Roman and Lenka Brzuskovi. Their stand attracted visitors not only with a wide portfolio of sewing and embroidery machines, but also with several new products that pushed home creativity one step further.

Visitors could find the complete Brother portfolio here – sewing machines, embroidery machines, overlocks, and coverlocks,” said Lenka Brzusková. According to her, hobby cutting plotters also attracted a great deal of interest. “For sewists, they’re perfect for cutting fabrics or creating various decorations.”

One of the biggest attractions of the exhibition were the new printers. “Since last year, we have introduced a printer for cotton fabrics as well as a sublimation printer. Visitors could try out all these little gadgets at our stand and discuss with us exactly what they needed,” explained Lenka Brzusková.

The first new product, the Brother HL-JF1, was designed for printing directly onto cotton fabric. “It’s a printer for cotton fabric rolls up to thirty centimetres wide. You can sew something for yourself and immediately decorate it with your own design, a photo of your dog, your child, or anything you like,” described Roman Brzuska.

The second innovation was the Brother SP-1 sublimation printer, which works with transfer paper. “It can print onto mugs, thermoses, polyester fabrics, T-shirts, and various decorative materials. These are two really interesting new products,” he added. Both devices could be conveniently operated via the Artspira app and featured Wi-Fi connectivity.

Another addition to the portfolio was Tefal ironing technology. “We had everything here from classic irons to steam generators and automatic ironing systems. And I think ironing simply belongs with sewing,” said Lenka Brzusková. One particularly popular product was the automatic ironing device, especially appreciated by men who generally dislike ironing. In addition to ironing and steaming, it also disinfects clothing, reduces odours, and refreshes fabrics.

The stand also featured a wide range of accessories – quilting and cutting rulers, sewing machine feet, small sewing tools, and special carrying bags designed specifically for sewing machines. “We had bags for small machines as well as large embroidery machines and overlocks, some even with wheels. These are truly special bags made specifically for sewing machines,” explained Roman Brzuska.

The company’s success is based not only on quality products, but also on a personal approach and deep product knowledge. “We need to touch everything, try everything ourselves, and know how to work with it before offering it to customers,” said Lenka Brzusková. This focus on expertise and hands-on experience was exactly why the couple decided to fully dedicate themselves to this field.

The love of sewing is clearly shared throughout the company. “We all sew here,” said Roman Brzuska with a smile. When asked whether he personally sews as well, he answered without hesitation: “Yes, all of us understand it – it’s our passion. We enjoy it and can advise customers not only on using the machines, but also on achieving great results.

The company was founded in 2008 and gradually built on the experience of its long-term supplier, who has been active in the market for more than thirty years. Today, Šicí technika Brother belongs among respected specialists in the field, and Brno Patchwork Meeting provided an ideal opportunity to connect directly with customers.

We were here mainly so people could try everything for themselves. To touch the products they had been considering – or discover something completely new,” concluded Lenka Brzusková.
