TORNADO Program at MSV 2026: Positioning Stop, Feeder, and Drilling Machine for Precise Material Handling
August 18, 2026 / 7:40 AM
At the upcoming MSV 2026, Pressta-Eisele ČS s.r.o. will present the TORNADO S automatic positioning stop. This machine stems from their proprietary TORNADO development lineup, which also includes the TORNADO F feeder and the TORNADO DRILL drilling machine. All three variants effectively address distinct steps in the processing of bar and profile materials—the exact stages where downtime and inaccuracies most commonly arise.
The entire product line shares a unified control philosophy. The machine positions the material at desired coordinates either according to a program created directly on the control panel or based on data loaded from a data set (via network FTP storage or USB). This completely eliminates the need for repeated manual measuring and setup. The configuration of the roller conveyor, clamps, and control panel is customized for each machine based on the customer’s specific material and operational needs.
TORNADO S: Automatic Positioning Stop
The centerpiece on display at the booth will be the TORNADO S positioning stop, praised for its combination of high positioning accuracy and operational flexibility. The travel carriage achieves a positioning accuracy of ±0.1" mm" . Programs can be saved directly to the machine's internal memory and recalled at any time, saving valuable setup time when switching between orders.
The equipment can be assembled in either right-hand or left-hand configurations to fit specific workshop layouts. Thanks to a wide range of optional configurations, it adapts seamlessly to almost any production line:
- Control Panel: Mounted on the control cabinet or a swivel arm, available with a 7" or 10" display.
- Stop Types: Fixed, tilting, or spring-loaded stop.
- Roller Conveyor: Steel, PVC-sleeved steel, or plastic rollers, with optional conveyor enclosures.
- Accessories: Network label printer connection for marking finished parts; barcode or QR code scanner integration for fast data set retrieval.
- Advanced Measurement: Integration with the NEDO telescopic measuring rod featuring wireless transmission directly to the machine control—eliminating manual data entry and the associated risk of human error.
TORNADO F: Automatic Material Feeder
The TORNADO F feeder feeds bar material of various profiles into downstream processing equipment (saws, drilling units, milling machines, screwdriving, or marking stations) at precisely set lengths. Once connected, it operates in a fully automatic cycle without requiring operator intervention. Material is securely held by a rotary pneumatic clamp (or other clamp types) mounted on an arm that can be adjusted vertically and laterally to match the profile.
Pressta-Eisele ČS can design complete cutting centers tailored to customer requirements. A prime real-world example includes an automated cell for cutting copper tubing used in HVAC and automotive applications. Copper is notoriously challenging to cut precisely—the soft material deforms easily, leaves burrs, and contaminates the inner profile, leading to rejected parts and extra secondary operations. Even in this demanding environment, the TORNADO F delivers reliable feeding and precise cuts, leaving parts immediately ready for downstream steps such as end-forming, bending, or laser batch marking.
TORNADO DRILL: Automatic Drilling Machine
For precise hole drilling in aluminum profiles, the TORNADO DRILL is the ideal solution. The drilling spindle moves along two axes above the profile and plunges along the Z-axis according to the programmed routine. The profile rests on a heavy-duty roller conveyor designed for longer and heavier stock. Once secured by pneumatic clamps, drilling is executed with high precision and zero material movement. The workstation includes safety fencing and a light curtain to protect the operating zone.
What Problem Does the TORNADO Line Solve?
In manufacturing facilities where dozens to thousands of bar stock pieces are cut daily, overall efficiency hinges on precise and repeatable length positioning. Manual measuring and mechanical stop setup are time-consuming, prone to errors, and cause costly downtime during job changes.
The automated TORNADO line eliminates these bottlenecks. Operators do not need to measure or calculate anything—the machine automatically positions itself based on stored programs or imported data, maintaining identical precision shift after shift.
See It Live at the Fair
Visit the Pressta-Eisele ČS booth (Hall V, Stand 127) to see the TORNADO S automatic positioning stop in action, including live demonstrations of its data integration capabilities. Company specialists will be on hand to advise you on how to integrate similar automated solutions into your own production processes—whether you handle bars, profiles, tubes, or other materials where speed and accuracy matter.
