PBS GROUP: Czech Turbine Engine Manufacturer with Global Reach

With more than two centuries of tradition, the company specializes in the development and production of turbine engines and operates its own metal foundry, allowing it to cover the entire process from design to the finished product. By combining proven practices with modern technologies, PBS has established a long-standing presence in global markets.

International Expansion

A major milestone in the company’s history was its long-term collaboration with the American company Lockheed Martin on the development of a component for the F-35 fighter jet, one of the most advanced combat aircraft of today. The recent expansion into the U.S. market, including the opening of a new branch in Roswell, represents another strategic step that significantly strengthens PBS’s international presence.

The year 2025 is symbolic for the company as it marks the 75th anniversary of the plant in Velka Bites. This anniversary highlights how a regional enterprise has grown into a global company whose products are used by customers across all continents.

Another recent development is the expansion of production and the establishment of a new division focused on aerospace technology. As part of this expansion, PBS is currently seeking around 200 new colleagues in production, technical development, and other areas. The company offers opportunities both for experienced professionals and for graduates eager to work on projects with international aerospace relevance.

PBS at MSV 2025

At the International Industrial Fair, PBS GROUP will showcase selected turbine engines from its portfolio. Special attention will be given to the PBS TJ200 engine, designed for modern unmanned systems and other aerospace applications. The engine was previously presented at the Paris Air Show, where it generated strong interest, but this will be the first opportunity for visitors in the Czech Republic to see it.

The exhibition will also feature additional products from the aerospace and defence sectors. Visitors will thus have the chance to explore engines produced in Velka Bites that are already integral to numerous international projects.
