MAXOUT: more value from every gram of carbide. At MSV Brno, ISCAR will present solutions that combine machining productivity with cost efficiency.

Rising cemented carbide prices and the continuing pressure to reduce manufacturing costs are changing the way companies assess cutting tools. Their true value is determined not only by purchase price, but above all by the amount of work they perform reliably, the utilisation of available cutting edges and their contribution to the entire production process. ISCAR’s MAXOUT campaign responds directly to this need.
MILL-4-FEED high-feed milling cutters featuring FFQ4 SOMT/W 0602 inserts with four cutting edges. The tool design enables more efficient carbide utilization and delivers higher value from every insert, in line with the MAXOUT campaign philosophy. The inserts can be mounted in face mills, end mills, as well as MULTI-MASTER and FLEXFIT modular systems. The compact 6 mm inserts expand high-feed milling capabilities in small diameters and can replace solid carbide tools in many applications.
MAXOUT seeks the right balance between machining productivity and cost efficiency. It focuses on increased cutting-edge utilisation, more efficient carbide consumption, compact and purpose-designed inserts, exchangeable heads, modular tools and other smart design solutions. The common objective is to obtain the highest possible value from every gram of cutting material and every cutting edge, without compromising performance, tool life or process stability.
However, MAXOUT is not only about introducing new products. Most manufacturing processes still contain opportunities for improvement that can be unlocked through a more suitable tool, a better machining strategy or optimised cutting conditions. Significant results can therefore often be achieved without investing in a new machine. ISCAR Czech Republic’s sales and technical team works directly in customers’ production environments, analyses specific applications and proposes solutions with measurable benefits for productivity, quality, stability and cost.
MILL-4-FEED perfectly reflects the MAXOUT philosophy by providing more usable cutting edges, more efficient carbide consumption, and greater value from every insert. Designed for stable, vibration-free high-feed machining, it enables fast metal removal even in deep cavities and applications with high tool overhangs.
This approach reflects the long-term philosophy of ISCAR Czech Republic. A high-quality tool is the foundation, but the real difference lies in helping customers select the right tool, use it optimally and implement it reliably in production. The company therefore relies on an experienced team of specialists in turning, milling, drilling, five-axis machining and key industrial sectors. Customers often involve ISCAR at the production-process design stage, where both tool selection and the complete technological approach can be influenced.
This philosophy will also be developed further under the leadership of the new General Manager of ISCAR Czech Republic, Ing. Tomáš Ortman. He joined the company in 2007 and has worked in customer service, special-tool design, sales and, most recently, as Deputy General Manager. He brings to the role detailed knowledge of the company, the Czech market and customers’ day-to-day needs. His priorities include maintaining the team’s high level of expertise, further developing technical support, supporting generational renewal and making greater use of digitalisation and data to improve cooperation with customers.
Visitors to the 67th International Engineering Fair in Brno can discover the principles of the MAXOUT campaign and selected tooling innovations at the ISCAR exhibition. The company’s specialists will be available to discuss specific manufacturing challenges and opportunities to obtain greater value from existing technologies and production processes.
