A European Innovation from Brno: Painting Collaborative Robot for Explosive Environments by IDEAL-Trade Service
August 28, 2025 / 8:12 AM
ITS company is Czech manufacturer and supplier of powder coating and wet painting lines as well as comprehensive surface treatment technologies. At MSV 2025, the company will present collaborative robots for both powder coating and wet painting, certified for ATEX operation in explosive environments (zones 22/21 and 2/1).
At the ITS exhibition in Hall F, you will see the latest innovations and practical demonstrations.
ArtiCoating: flexible combination of manual and automatic painting
Robots with the ArtiCoating application combine manual and automatic painting, offering high flexibility and quick changeovers between product types in both small-scale and large-scale production. Operation is intuitive and requires no programming skills. After just one day of training, operators can handle robot setup and operation with ease.
The ArtiCoating application, protected by a utility model, combines robotic and manual painting and can be quickly integrated into existing lines. No modifications to the control system are needed, ensuring that equipment warranties remain valid and making the transition to automation significantly easier.
The robot is equipped with a seventh axis, enabling coating of complex shapes and hard-to-reach areas across multiple height levels. With its all-metal design, easy operation, and certification, it is suitable both for new painting applications and integration into existing powder or wet coating booths.
A major advantage of the ArtiCoating technology is its fast and simple installation – the entire system, including operator training, can be commissioned within just a few days. Programming is intuitive and requires no prior robotics knowledge, enabling operators to prepare the robot for coating after a single day of training.
The exhibition will also showcase a new version of the ArtiDeepControl system, which allows for paint layer thickness measurement before curing, improving product quality while reducing costs.
Why Visit ITS in Pavilion F
The ITS exhibition is not just about technology – it’s a place where expertise, innovation, and practical demonstrations come together. Visitors will see robotic technologies in action, discuss their specific needs with coating experts, and gain valuable insights into how to increase efficiency and quality in coating processes. In addition, ITS will present the latest developments from its SQI laboratory, which recently received accreditation from the Czech Accreditation Institute (ČIA) for selected tests according to internationally recognized methodologies.
