The Bratislava Region is one of the most visited areas in Slovakia thanks to its convenient location, rich culture, fascinating history, and wide range of events. It perfectly combines the charm of the capital city with the natural beauty and traditions of the surrounding towns and countryside.
Bratislava attracts visitors with its historic centre dominated by Bratislava Castle, as well as modern galleries, museums, and a lively social scene. Throughout the year, the city hosts numerous cultural events, festivals, and international conferences.
Right in the city, you’ll find the autocamp at Zlaté Piesky (Golden Sands), which offers a children’s playground, mini-golf, water slides, and various sports facilities. Its major advantage is its proximity to a tram stop with direct access to the city centre.
Another campsite in Bratislava is located in the Divoká Voda (Wild Water) area in Čunovo, where visitors can enjoy adrenaline-filled activities such as rafting or water skiing. Just a short distance away is the renowned Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, one of the most beautiful modern art galleries in Europe.
The surroundings of the capital offer countless opportunities for relaxation and recreation. The Little Carpathians are a favourite destination for hikers and cyclists, and the region is famous for its wine-making tradition. Towns such as Pezinok, Modra, and Svätý Jur invite visitors to wine tastings and traditional events like harvest festivals and craft markets.
The Záhorie region, bordering the Czech Republic, offers not only rich history and culinary delights but also an extensive network of cycling and hiking trails – all surrounded by beautiful nature. Campsites can be found, for example, near the village of Kuchyňa or in the Rudava recreation area.
Sun and water lovers shouldn’t miss the popular campsite at Sunny Lakes in Senec. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can take trips to the Siberian Tiger Oasis or the historic watermill in Jelka. The Sunny Lakes resort also features water slides and a wellness centre.
The Bratislava Region offers an ideal blend of city tourism, cultural experiences, and natural relaxation. Come and discover it – it’s just a short trip away!
