SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, as the national tourism organization, proudly represents Slovakia – a country of captivating culture, breathtaking nature, and unforgettable travel experiences. Its mission is to awaken curiosity in travelers, build bridges between people, and warmly welcome everyone who wishes to explore the beauty of Slovakia.

Slovak national parks offer surprising experiences

One of the most attractive destinations for hiking enthusiasts is Tatra National Park, the oldest national park in Slovakia. It offers more than 600 kilometers of marked hiking trails, including routes to nine High Tatras peaks. Another twelve peaks can be reached only with a mountain guide – a truly authentic experience that SLOVAKIA TRAVEL highly recommends to adventure lovers.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Slovakia is proud of its remarkable cultural heritage. In 1993, the UNESCO World Heritage List included three Slovak landmarks: Spiš Castle and its surroundings, Banská Štiavnica, and Vlkolínec. Later additions include the historic town of Bardejov (2000), the wooden churches of the Carpathian Arc (2008), the town of Levoča (2009), and most recently, in 2021, the Roman military camps Gerulata in Bratislava-Rusovce and Kelemantia in Iža.
