17.00–18.00: From first aid to care: how to build a resilient municipality
What can you do if your municipality lacks enough people to help—whether in crisis situations or in everyday care? Come and find out at the panel From First Aid to Care: How to Build a Resilient Municipality.
The panel will present real-world solutions that help municipalities cope with staff shortages in services, an ageing population, and growing demands for care and safety. From first aid training to supporting people in their homes, you’ll see how to connect residents, services, and local government into a functional “safety net” that works when it’s needed most.
Technology is not the goal here—it’s a tool. The key lies in a shift in mindset: how to think systemically and how to turn individual steps into a sustainable, long-term solution.
And it doesn’t end there—after the panel, you can seamlessly continue to the exhibition area, where you’ll be able to try selected solutions firsthand and see how they work in practice.
Come get inspired—and then experience it for yourself.

11.30–12.30: Young People in Action – HackaTEEN Is Starting!
How does the generation that will be living in our cities 20 years from now think about their future? Come and find out at the URBIS Challenge HackaTEEN 2026 – a unique hackathon of student and youth councils that connects young people with the themes of smart cities, technology, and quality of life in their communities.
Over the course of 24 hours, teams of pupils and students aged 12 to 18 from all over the Czech Republic will design smart solutions for towns and municipalities – from mobility and public space to energy, data, and community life. With support from real-world mentors, they will develop their ideas directly within the environment of the URBIS – The Smart Cities Meetup fair and present them to a professional jury.
For URBIS visitors, HackaTEEN is a unique opportunity to watch innovation being created in real time and to gain insight into how the younger generation thinks about the future of cities.
We kick off on June 2 at 11:30! Come welcome this year’s teams, learn about their challenges, and hear stories from last year’s participants – what it’s like to start working with a city, and what it’s like to patent your own idea!
Perhaps there are children in your community who will one day design how your city operates. HackaTEEN gives them the chance to start right now.
Hosted by Dagmar Peřinová, author of HackaTEEN, and her guests.
