Silk Road Certification: Your Next-Door Neighbour for Circular Economy Certification

Good neighbours help each other – and Silk Road Certification is right next door. Based in Polish Silesia, just across the Czech border, the company is an independent certification body and advisory firm specialising in the circular economy of plastics and environmental compliance for industry. For Czech partners, this means short distances, a shared Central European perspective and auditors who can be on site quickly.
Silk Road Certification is accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA, accreditation no. AC 249) for the certification of plastic products under the RecyClass Recycling Process and RecyClass Recycled Plastics Traceability schemes and the EN 15343 Certification Programme. All three are based on the European standard EN 15343, which underpins current and upcoming plastic taxes and the eco-modulation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) fees. The certificates it issues are recognised worldwide, including for the Spanish plastic packaging tax.
Beyond its accredited scope, Silk Road Certification certifies RecyClass Sorting Process and the recyclability of plastic packaging under RecyClass Recyclability, including Design for Recycling. This helps packaging producers, converters, brand owners and designers prepare for the recyclability requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which apply from 2030.
Its advisory team supports clients in implementing and maintaining ISCC PLUS, ISCC EU and KZR INiG – particularly in the waste and residues and biofuel sectors – as well as with REACH compliance, ISO management systems, carbon footprint calculation, LCA and EPD verification. Its auditors combine hands-on experience from the recycling industry with independent, transparent assessment, helping companies back their environmental claims with credible evidence and communicate in line with the EmpCo Directive (EU) 2024/825 – without greenwashing.
