Robotics to Take on an Even Bigger Role at MSV 2026
June 2, 2026 / 1:14 PM
Over the past few years, robotics has become one of the key topics shaping modern industry. While only a few years ago it was associated mainly with the automotive sector and large manufacturing companies, today it is finding applications across virtually all industries. This is why the organizers of the ROBOTY project have decided to significantly expand their activities at the International Industrial Fair (MSV) in Brno once again this year. And you can be part of it this October.
Following the successful premiere of the ROBOTY project at MSV 2025, a joint exhibition focused on robotics, automation and related technologies will once again be created in Hall P. The project will build on the concept that last year brought together robot manufacturers, system integrators, component suppliers, professional organizations and industry media in one place. Visitors were offered not only technology demonstrations, but also live podcasts, guided tours and a professional accompanying programme.
This year’s edition, however, will be even more ambitious.
“Our goal is not to create just another trade fair stand. We want to help visitors navigate what is really happening in robotics today. The market is changing rapidly. New applications of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, advanced machine vision and new approaches to manufacturing automation are emerging all the time. MSV is the ideal place to showcase these trends in a broader context,” says Lukáš Smelík from Trade Media International, the company once again organizing the ROBOTY project at MSV.
A new feature of this year’s programme will be the Robotics in Engineering Conference, taking place on Thursday, 8 October. This one-day event will offer case studies, insights from manufacturing companies and discussions on how robotics is evolving under the influence of artificial intelligence, labour shortages and growing demands for production flexibility.
The media component of the project will also be significantly strengthened. In cooperation with the industry portal vseoprumyslu.cz, a dedicated news platform focused exclusively on robotics at MSV will be launched. Visitors and those unable to attend the fair in person will gain access to exhibitor interviews, reports from exhibition stands, expert commentary and summaries of the most interesting innovations in robotics and automation.
The project will build on last year’s live Vše o průmyslu podcasts recorded directly at the trade fair, which featured interviews with leading personalities from Czech industry.
At the same time, ROBOTY at MSV serves as a bridge between two editions of the traditional January ROBOTY conference. While this year’s conference focused on robotic artificial intelligence and its practical industrial applications, the next edition, entitled Beyond Fairy Tales, will take place on 27–28 January next year in Brno. The organizers aim to open a discussion on how to distinguish marketing expectations from truly functional and economically viable applications of robotics and AI.
It is precisely this combination of a trade fair, an expert conference and year-round media content that makes the ROBOTY project a unique platform for sharing experience across Czech and Slovak industry. A place where not only technologies meet, but above all the people who design, implement and use them in everyday practice.
