Opportunity for your business: Tens of thousands of experts will once again head to MSV 2026

February 2, 2026  /  7:15 AM

The opportunity to see technology in action, watch and hear machines in operation, or confirm cooperation with a business partner with a firm handshake is becoming increasingly rare in the digital world, but all the more desirable. This is well known to exhibitors and trade visitors who head to the Brno Exhibition Centre every year to meet at the International Engineering Fair – the largest and most important showcase of industrial technologies in Central Europe. This year's 67th MSV will take place from October 6 to 9, together with five other specialized trade fairs.

"In turbulent times, people and companies return to proven certainties. At the same time, however, they are looking for new opportunities that may open up in unexpected places. That's why I'm glad that MSV offers technology companies both," says Michalis Busios, MSV project director. "It is the most traditional industrial fair in the entire Central European region, with a guaranteed attendance of more than fifty thousand experts. But it is also a window into the future, showing new business opportunities and directions for further development. That's why it's a great place for both product presentations and networking."

Focus on digitization, 3D printing, energy, and the defense industry

This year will again be mainly about innovation and trends. The Digital Factory 2.0 project will continue—a dynamic exhibition focusing on solutions that significantly increase business efficiency: the practical use of AI, prototypes of smart autonomous machines, and the application of blockchain in industry. The 3D Expo, the largest domestic event in the field of professional 3D printing with practical demonstrations of additive manufacturing, will also be back. Another key theme of this year's event will be the transformation of the Czech energy sector, which brings new challenges and opportunities for companies. And after last year's successful launch, the unique DEFENCEO conference, which connects engineering with the defense and security industries, will be back for another round.

Six trade fairs will present key innovations in one place

Along with MSV, five other specialized trade fairs will take place, each held once every two years. The 14th International Trade Fair for Machine Tools and Forming Machines (IMT) will focus on the core engineering sector and key manufacturing technologies. The four international TOP Technology trade fairs include the 9th PLASTEX trade fair dedicated to plastics, rubber, and composites processing, the 27th WELDING trade fair for welding technology, the 20th anniversary edition of the FOND-EX foundry trade fair, and the 10th anniversary edition of the PROFINTECH trade fair for surface treatment technologies. This combination of trade fairs opens up a wealth of opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation.

A look back at MSV 2025 – a trade fair in the spotlight

The last MSV trade fair in October 2025 was attended by 1,356 exhibiting companies from 40 countries. Over four days, 55,160 registered visitors from 42 countries passed through the gates of the exhibition center, and trade delegations arrived from India, Indonesia, South Korea, Pakistan, Turkey, and the USA, among others. The media also paid a lot of attention to last year's event. More than 80 media partners reported on exhibitors' news and current industry topics, with a total of over 1,700 articles published in the press.

Be where your customers are going

MSV has long had a high proportion of professional visitors and visitors with high decision-making authority, i.e., company owners and senior management representatives. Therefore, relevant negotiations can be conducted directly at the trade fair, which often result in contracts being signed. This is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted at last year's event. According to the survey, visitors to MSV 2025 were not only highly competent, but also very satisfied with their participation: 82% of them were involved in investment decisions in their companies, 68% planned to invest in the future and used MSV to select potential suppliers, 90% of those who came to MSV with the aim of establishing business contacts were successful, and 78% of visitors planned to attend MSV 2026.
