Barefoot Footwear Association (ABFO): for a healthier step and quality footwear

The Barefoot Footwear Association brings together manufacturers, sellers and supporters of barefoot footwear in the Czech Republic. Its main goal is to spread awareness about healthy footwear, support the development of the barefoot market and increase the quality and availability of footwear that respects the natural anatomy of the foot.
Barefoot footwear is an increasingly popular alternative to classic footwear – it allows natural movement, supports correct posture and contributes to healthy foot development. ABFO defends the principles of this approach and represents its members not only to the public, but also to professional institutions and state administration.
The association's activities also include education, product certification, support for Czech manufacturers and participation in major trade fairs – such as KABO in Brno, where barefoot footwear regularly attracts the attention of experts and customers.
The association thus contributes to greater market transparency and to the cultivation of a range of healthy, functional and good-looking footwear for children and adults. The Barefoot Footwear Association is already represented by 23 members.
