Gallerist Bella Kaplan

I am an artist who paints abstractions, but instead of a brush, I use fabric. I first worked as a ceramicist and discovered quilting a few years ago.

My personal style of work draws from various techniques and colors. I use hand-dyed fabrics, printing, screen printing, discharging, and other methods. I need freedom when working with fabric, allowing me to create interesting and colorful textures that captivate the eye.
The inspiration for my work comes from the world around me—its shapes, patterns, colors, and textures. From time to time, I am also influenced by war and fire.

My works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad. They have also been featured in catalogues, books, newspapers, and magazines, both locally and internationally.
I have received awards for my artistic achievements.

Nature

Due to the war currently taking place in Israel, I had to leave my home. My house is located on the border, so we were forced to move to a hotel—one room, two people, for the entire year.
In my work, I have dealt with this situation—bombs and the relentless fires in the area where my home is located. This theme accompanied me in my creations, but I decided to refresh my mind with the sights of blooming nature. This is the reason I chose this title for my exhibition.
