International Food Fair

The taste of regions...


... is what you can find out in Hall P, at a stand conceived as a restaurant with professional facilities, where a project of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants aimed at promoting regional specialities takes place. Visitors will be invited several times a day to taste dishes prepared by chefs from different regions. Participation was also promised by a long-time captain of the national team of chefs and confectioners, Jiří Král, who will cook traditional Prague cuisine. Guests of the "restaurant" will look behind the scenes of preparation and moreover will become familiar with the application of modern technology and learn about trends of food combination with beer and wine. The presentation is simultaneously promoting the “Czech Specials” project which aims to spread regional dishes in Czech cuisine and currently involves over 300 restaurants.

„We want to continue the successful restaurant model that has proven itself during the past edition. Since this is a fair designed specifically for professionals in the field, we will also provide space to our partners - technology suppliers. We will work and cook in real time with their instruments and devices, so we can also popularize modern technology for professional kitchens," explains Lukáš Limprecht, gastronomy vice president of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants. The project also involves a large screen that allows viewers to watch the cooks directly. In between serving dishes, there will be screenings of culinary Olympics.
