Jubilee 55th International Engineering Fair showed the quality of Czech industrial production, which maintains a high level of competitiveness and significantly contributes to the results of our exports. The participation of leading European and world producers also testified that the Czech and Central European market with high industrial potential remains a very attractive sales market. 1551 exhibiting companies from 28 countries introduced their offer and the share of foreign participants reached a respectable 46 percent. Attendance remained at the same level as last year and the estimations are that some 75 000 people will have seen the exhibition during these five days, the vast majority of them are professionals from various industries.

3D printing moves the fair

3D printing was a new and very current theme of this year's MSV, with a two-day 3D Print Days technical conference focusing on it together with an also exhibition in the foyer of Hall P. This promising industry finds its use in more and more fields including industrial production.

Czech Association of Engineering Technology exhibits in five pavilions

Exhibitions of the Czech Association of Engineering Technology member companies may be seen not only in the hall P, “the Hall of Machine Tools”, but also in halls B, V, F and A1. Visitors may expect to see the MCU 1100V - 5X machine, KOVOSVIT MAS, for which the company won the Gold Medal MSV 2013, and a number of other interesting novelties.

Trade with Turkey to further increase

The participants of the Czech-Turkish Economic Forum held at the Brno Exhibition Centre as part of MSV agreed that trade with Turkey will further increase. This year for the first time the trade exchange should exceed 3 billion USD and two years later it is expected to reach 4 billion. Bilateral negotiations of Czech and Turkish entrepreneurs who were more then 70 to attend the forum should contribute to this.

A total of 16 leading exhibitors from France working in the fields of single-purpose machines, springs, capacity transmission and plastics processing attend this year's Brno International Engineering Fair. French exhibition is located in Halls V and G and is organized by the French Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic (FČOK).

Construction of nuclear power plants – the focal point of the ATOMEX-EUROPE Forum

Today the Brno International Engineering Fair saw the first day of ATOMEX-EUROPE, the European Forum of the Nuclear Industry Suppliers. It is divided into three sections – first section on the Russian design of nuclear power plants and international supply chain presentation, second section on international innovation projects and suppliers’ opportunities and third section on supply financing.

A total of 77 Slovak companies present their work at the Brno International Engineering Fair. Today Tomáš Malatinský, Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, officially opened the National Day of Slovak Republic. In his speech he briefly remarked that engineering in Slovakia counts among the most important industries and is the main source of job creation.
