Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek has cut the ribbon and officially opened the exhibition of India, where he greeted representatives of the Indian delegation and signed the guestbook. The exhibition presents around a dozen Indian companies at the International Engineering Fair in Brno.

On Monday morning at the stroke of nine o’clock, the gates of the Brno Exhibition Centre opened for visitors for the 58th MSV. With the participation of 1700 companies from 35 countries it is the largest show in the last few years, and several interesting events took place right at the onset.

58th International Engineering Fair is awaiting visitors at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 3 to 7 October, held concurrently with the specialized IMT, FOND-EX, WELDING, PLASTEX and PROFINTECH fairs. Organizers expect it to be the biggest show of industrial sectors in the last five years. Exhibitors‘ interest in our key trade fair demonstrates the strength of the Czech economy.

The Brno Exhibition Centre is in for an extraordinarily extensive show of industrial technologies. The participation of exhibitors will be the highest since the onset of the economic crisis in 2008. Besides Czech companies – both domestic manufacturers and representatives of international brands – has also been strengthened by direct foreign participation. A total of 35 countries will be represented and one half of the 1,700 exhibitors will come from abroad. Organizers expect the Brno Exhibition Centre to be visited by at least 75 thousand professionals from various fields of industry from 3 to 7 October.

An exhibition of new technologies for machining and forming

Production of machine tools and forming machines is thriving; in 2015, the European production in this sector grew by 5% and the CECIMO association estimates that this year it will keep the same pace. Priorities for further development of the sector are the digitization of manufacturing and upgrade of obsolete machine stock. More on the situation in the field will be shown by the 10th International Fair IMT, which will be launched in a couple of weeks and exhibitors already reveal the exhibits they are bringing to Brno this year.

China will be represented at this year's MSV in style

The participation of China as MSV Partner Country 2016 has been approved by the Chinese government after numerous diplomatic negotiations in January of this year. The Chinese party announced the participation in Brno as part of the strategy of the PRC for Central and Eastern Europe, the so-called “16+1 Agenda” – China and 16 countries of Central and South-eastern Europe with a goal of closer economic cooperation, placement of investments and building up of new infrastructure by Chinese companies.
