The next edition of the International Engineering Fair will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 7 to 11 October. In odd years, it inherently runs in concurrence with the Transport & Logistics International Transport and Logistics Fair and the ENVITECH International Fair for Environmental Protection Technologies. The organizers expect the participation of approximately 1,600 exhibiting companies and at least 80,000 trade visitors.

MSV brings together professionals from different fields who make use of their presence in Brno for professional meetings and specialized seminars. For example, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology, in cooperation with the Czech Association of Surveyors and Cartographers, has organized an Industrial Measurement Seminar at the Congress Centre, while the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Institute of Engineering Technology, organized a seminar focused on progressive and unconventional engineering technologies. The organizers, headed by Associate Professor Viktor Kreibich, have prepared a series of nine lectures on different themes, looking at the surface treatment of materials from different perspectives.

Today, the Brno Trade Fairs administration building hosted specialists from European countries whose interest lies in the circulation economy – a way of production and consumption which, thanks to sharing, renting, reuse, repairing, refurbishing or recycling, valorises existing products, raw materials and materials. The speakers focused on the experience and barriers to the implementation of the circulation economy into the practice of European countries, they touched upon the related European and Czech legislation, and also talked about the challenges related to sustainable products and services.

"We need a pragmatic, open and frequent communication with the Russian Federation," said Martina Tlapa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, at today's Business Day of the Russian Federation. This meeting is a traditional event of the MSV Supporting Programme, which is organized by the Chamber for Economic Relations with the SNS along with other partners on the second day of the fair.

Only seven industrial companies took part in all sixty editions of MSV: ArcelorMittal, Pfeiffer Vacuum, Siemens, Swisstool Gruppe, Šmeral Brno, Vítkovice and ŽĎAS. At the end of the opening ceremony, the Minister of Industry and Trade Marta Nováková and the General Director of the Trade Fairs Brno Jiří Kuliš presented them with a special award.

China's Guizhou province excels in high foreign investment

The search for trade and investment cooperation in the manufacturing industry between China and the Czech Republic was the aim of the conference on industrial cooperation between the two countries. The conference was held in Hall P and was attended mainly by representatives of Chinese companies. The professional guarantor, the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Mechanical Engineering branch (CCPIT MSC) shared the role with the Ministry of Commerce of Guizhou Province.
