After ten years, a one day "inside-out trade fair", where producers exhibit components for which they are seeking a supplier, returned to the Czech Republic. The successful event marks the revival of interest of Japanese companies in the Czech market.

Germany has been the largest foreign exhibitor at the International Engineering Fair. 270 German companies are represented in Brno within the four joint stands of the five federal states - Bavaria, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Hessen. The Czech-German Chamber of Commerce (ČNOPK) also organized a conference entitled "Forum Industry 4.0" today. There was great interest in the lectures, 120 participants filled the entire congress hall at the Holiday Inn.

The Rotunda of Hall A welcomed the distinguished guests who visited the Business Day of the Russian Federation. Among them, there was the ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Czech Republic Sergei Borisovich Kiselev, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Russian Federation Vladimír Remek, Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek and many others. The Business Day of the Russian Federation, a traditional event organized on the occasion of the International Engineering Fair by the Chamber for Economic Relations with the CIS, brought a summary of the current state of economic and trade relations between the Czech Republic and Russia and gave an opportunity to representatives of Russian regions, associations, organizations and businesses to present themselves.

Export and business opportunities in Korea

South Korea has become a special guest at the International Engineering Fair this year. It supported its role today by a special seminar on export and business opportunities in Korea, which was organized by the Czech Chamber of Commerce (HK ČR) together with its partners. The seminar was held with the participation of Korean Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ha Yong Moon and the President of the Economic Chamber Vladimír Dlouhý. It was attended by one hundred participants. Three panels gradually discussed trade relations, incentives and opportunities in the Korean market as well as financial and legal aspects of trading with Korea.

It was attended by representatives of companies that deal with the use of advanced technology to streamline prototyping and more productive manufacturing. The presenters included a number of foreign and Czech guests, including manufacturers, integrators and technology users.

Czech companies are willing to accept up to five thousand refugees from Syria. This was stated by the President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Hanák at a press conference held after the meeting of the entity. He stressed that refugees must have the necessary qualifications and comply with the law. The Association conducted a survey on the possible reception of migrants among dozens of large industrial enterprises.

KUKA and Siemens introduced a new product on the Czech market

Two leaders in their field, KUKA as Europe's leading supplier of industrial robots and automated manufacturing systems, and SIEMENS, a leading company in the field of industrial automation, presented the results of their collaboration today – they have developed software interfaces to their KUKA KRC4 and Siemens Sinumerik 840D control systems and thus enabled their interconnection and cooperation. This makes it possible to control both the CNC machine and the robot from the generally known Sinumerik control system, supplied by Siemens. This innovation will bring significant simplification of service and many other benefits. Both partners hope for a wider deployment of robots in everyday engineering production.
