Today the Brno International Engineering Fair saw the first day of ATOMEX-EUROPE, the European Forum of the Nuclear Industry Suppliers. It is divided into three sections – first section on the Russian design of nuclear power plants and international supply chain presentation, second section on international innovation projects and suppliers’ opportunities and third section on supply financing.

In 2012 the industrial production in the Czech Republic declined by 0.8 percent. This trend has continued throughout this year with a further decline of 5.4 percent in the first quarter and with the decline slowly ceasing in the second quarter. Compared to the previous year industrial production declined by 3.9 percent in the first half of 2013.

Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, visited the International Engineering Fair (MSV) in support of Thai entrepreneurs, who are the first in history to present a Thai exhibition at MSV (in Hall V). “Brno is known as a city of trade fairs and we consider it a good place for exchange of information and establishing cooperation of Thai and Czech companies, which is one of the reasons that led us here”, the Thai ambassador said.

This year's interim results of the Czech foreign trade show the continuation of the Czech export diversification process despite more difficult conditions caused by the current stagnation of economic development. Thanks to the export activities in priority countries and in countries of interest Czech exports gradually return to positive values. This was said at the MPO press conference, which took place as a part of the International Engineering Fair.
