New HiCube Eco turbopumping stations


The new HiCube Eco turbopumping station from Pfeiffer Vacuum is characterized by its modular design. Due to its numerous options for combining  different turbopumps and backing pumps, the HiCube Eco can be configured to ideally adapt to all high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum application demands. All pumping stations provide connectivity for digital pressure sensors.
This pumping station now reaches the ultra-high vacuum range even faster, especially when combined with the HiPace 300 H turbopump which delivers particularly high compression. Up to now, conventional turbopumps could only reach these pressures if considerably larger and more energy-intensive backing pumps were used. All HiCube Eco turbopumping stations are fitted with particularly energy-efficient backing pumps that have a DC drive. The turbopump and the backing pump form a single unit in the pumping station. If there is no gas load in the vacuum, the pumping station automatically reduces the backing pump output. This results in maximum energy savings.

If required, the HiCube Eco can also be remotely controlled by a USB converter, which can be obtained as an accessory. All operating parameters and the pressures of the optionally available pressure sensors can be read with this converter.

With the PrismaPro, Pfeiffer Vacuum offers a quadrupole mass spectrometer for both qualitative and quantitative gas analysis as well as leak detection. The PrismaPro features a distinctive combination of high sensitivity, maximum stability, and intelligent operation. In daily operation, the user will benefit from its robust, compact design, and its easy system integration.

Because of its selection options for mass ranges, detectors, ion sources, filament materials, and integrated interface options, the PrismaPro can be applied in industrial and analytical environments, in research & development, in leak detection, as well as in coating technology. For use in quality assurance or residual gas analysis, the PrismaPro is the ideal solution.

The PrismaPro produces precise measurements with a detection limit of up to 3E-15 hPa. Depending on the application, one can choose between 1-100, 1-200 or 1-300 amu. The smallest contaminations in a vacuum system can be detected in a minimum of time using Faraday detectors or secondary electron multipliers. For monitoring total pressure and for protection of the mass spectrometer, a gauge can be connected directly to the PrismaPro.

The newly-developed PV MassSpec software for the PrismaPro is easy to use and offers a clear platform for capturing and visualizing measured data and parameter records. Simple routines for leak detection and vacuum diagnosis can be activated quickly. Measurement tasks can be automated using a sequencer function. PV MassSpec can also operate multiple mass spectrometers simultaneously.

The large selection of interfaces, such as digital and analog inputs/outputs, or Ethernet with an open JSON programming interface, enable easy system integration.
