International Engineering Fair

MSV a crossing for experts

The International Engineering Fair is an annual venue of several dozen meetings – conferences, workshops, discussions, presentations and seminars. We will highlight at least a few of the most interesting ones.

On Wednesday, 1 October, Hall E will be the location of the "Economic Forum – 10 Years of Czech industry in the EU" with the participation of the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic Vladimír Dlouhý, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vladimir Bärtl, Head of the U.S. Commercial Service at the American Embassy in Prague Helen Peterson and other distinguished guests. The meeting was divided into two parts with lectures and a moderated discussion. The first section will focus on the changes of the EU economic environment, the benefits for member countries, persistent barriers on the single market, access to financing from European funds and EU information sources for Czech entrepreneurs.

The afternoon session will focus on the opportunities that are opening to Czech entities and especially engineering companies with the forthcoming TTIP agreement on the transatlantic trade and investment partnership. The forum is organized with the participation of the USA Embassy in Prague, Ministry of Industry and Trade, the EU information networks such as EURES, EURODESK, Horizon 2020, SOLVIT, EnterpriseEurope, CEBRE and others.

The traditional and important business meetings include the two-day project, Contact - Contract, organized by the Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce as part of an international Enterprise Europe Network. Meetings held in the well proven b2fair format (Business to Fairs) are usually very effective, because only pre-selected partners meet together. This year's business opportunities lounge will take place in Hall A2 on 30 September and 1 October.

The International Welding Engineering Fair WELDING is among the most important of its kind in Europe and its key supporting event will be the 12th FORM-WELD International Symposium 2014 which will take place on Tuesday 30 September and Wednesday 1 October at the Brno Exhibition Centre Congress building. The programme will include a presentation of manufacturers and suppliers of metal forming and welding techniques, tools and materials for forming, welding and injection moulding; on the second day there  will be presentations of research results in the field of metal forming and welding from both home and abroad.

The issue of energy saving will be addressed at the “Energy For The Future XIII: Effective Energy Management In Industrial Production” conference. The conference held on Tuesday 30 September in Hall P is part of a long-term project and will focus, among other things, on measurement and monitoring of consumption, ways of purchasing energy or current possibilities of integration of renewable energy sources.

A traditional expert meeting, the conference "Visions in Automation and M2M", will take place on Wednesday, 1 October in Hall P. The main topics include design, visualization and simulation processes, precise robotics and speech and image recognition, M2M communication for remote monitoring and measurement, smart RFID labels, data collection and others.

From a series of measures to promote foreign trade, attention should be paid for example to Tuesday's conference of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic on "Export and Business Opportunities in Azerbaijan", organized by the CzechTrade agency.
