Machining and forming a key field

A full 44% of all applications this year fall within the fields of metalworking and forming machines, tools, welding and surface treatment. Even in the year of the EMO world exhibition in Milan the Czech and Slovak manufacturers of machine tools participate in MSV unabated, some even on a larger area and with a number of exhibit novelties. At the same time, even traditional foreign exhibitors in the field did not miss this opportunity and together with them also many newcomers. In Hall P, newly introduced companies include for example, a company NEWTECH who represent the traditional Japanese machining centres manufacturer, TOYODA. Newcomers are also among German companies such as Haas Schleifmaschinen, Handtmann A-Punkt Automation or Tramec, among domestic exhibitors there is for example HUBER EDM with an offer of EDM machine tools. The organizers also noticed two significant returns. For the first time since 2006, the company MCN CZ will be exhibiting; they are a supplier of Mitsubishi Carbide machining tools. After three years, at MSV the significant domestic machining tools manufacturer Pramet Tools also returned, they will have a stand with an area of 210m² in open space F. Traditional exhibitors include companies such as KOVOSVIT MAS, TAJMAC-ZPS, DMG MORI SEIKI, YAMAZAKI MAZAK, among tool manufacturers there is GÜHRING, Hoffmann Qualitätswerkzeuge and more.

Great interest in exhibiting also shows in the field of forming. The forming machine hall is already full, some companies were placed in other pavilions and others are waiting to see whether any free space is released. Compared to last year, an increase is visible among industry leaders’ square footage, there are also new companies for example from Germany and Poland. Significant firms who did  not exhibit at all or only within the framework of some official participation in recent years are also returning, such as the company Bystronic.

In the field of welding, strong participation of exhibitors of robot systems is expected, such as ABB, VALK WELDING, CLOOS, YASKAWA, COMAU or ARC-H. ABB will introduce Yumi at the trade fair – the first industrial robot with two arms that can actually collaborate with humans on the same tasks while maintaining maximum safety. Compared to the previous 2013 edition, welding will expand its area and new companies will participate, such as FUSION from Great Britain, TCM from Poland, CHANGZHOU WOW INTERNATIONAL from China or the domestic company Stefan Engineering.

Material and components for mechanical engineering remain a traditionally strong field. Fifteen registered exhibitors will participate for the first time or have missed MSV in the last three years. There are mainly suppliers of steel materials such as MENZI MUCK SLOVAKIA, or companies manufacturing or supplying bearings, such as the Baltic Bearing Company (BBC-R), NBI Bearings Europe, GUMET Sz. Geneja and others. A clear increase in square footage is seen among the suppliers of connection material; major exhibitors in this industry include companies such as MEKR'S, GESIPA CZ, BÖLLHOFF or Elesa+Ganter CZ. There will again be extensive stands of major companies that participate every year, whether it’s ArcelorMittal Ostrava, BIBUS, ITALINOX, MUT TUBES, VÍTKOVICE HOLDING, ZKL or the National Machinery Cluster.

The Plastics, Rubber and Composites sector promises the participation of all traditional exhibitors, i.e. companies such as Arburg, Engel, Luger, Kuboušek and others. At the same time, the group will welcome 13% of companies interested in the field that did not exhibit at MSV yet, they will include newcomers from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Russia. After some time, ALBIS PLASTIC returns to the fair. Also the field of Chemistry for Engineering expects a large turnout, at the forefront of which we can find traditional exhibitors such as Total, Blaser, Sika, Fuchs Oil and Weicon-Šafařík.

The number of exhibitors follows in the electronics, automation and measuring technology sector which contains new exhibitors from Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, China and Hungary this year. Very strong representation will be among exhibitors of measuring systems and devices. Traditional exhibitors include companies such as ABB, Olympus, KUKA, Mitutoyo and Hexagon Metrology.

Also in the field of hydraulics and pneumatics we can find brand new businesses as well as those returning to MSV after a few years. Increased interest is confirmed by the return of industry leaders such as Parker Hannifin Czech Republic.
