Engineering Fair biggest in last five years

58th International Engineering Fair is awaiting visitors at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 3 to 7 October, held concurrently with the specialized IMT, FOND-EX, WELDING, PLASTEX and PROFINTECH fairs. Organizers expect it to be the biggest show of industrial sectors in the last five years. Exhibitors‘ interest in our key trade fair demonstrates the strength of the Czech economy.

"The Czech economy, above all thanks to the industry, is now experiencing a successful period. Last year was one of the most successful years for our economy. Our gross domestic product grew by 4.6 percent. This is the best result over the last eight years. Central position is kept mainly by industry, and particularly manufacturing industry, which last year grew by as much as 6 percent. Also the results of the first half of this year, when gross domestic product grew year-to-year by 2.5 percent in the second quarter, and by 0.9 percent compared with the first quarter, suggest that we are still on a positive wave. This is supported also by the extraordinary record-breaking results of our exports," says Jan Mládek, Minister of Industry and Trade.

Industry 4.0 to be seen directly at the stands

Industry 4.0 has been announced as the main topic this year, the same as last year.  Industry 4.0 means integrated and automated industry, which is a new and upcoming fourth stage of the industrial revolution. While a year ago the new direction was demonstrated by a special exhibition, this year Industry 4.0 will be presented at the exhibitors' stands. In connection with the theme of Industry 4.0, attention will focus on the key innovative technologies of automation, robotics, digitalization and networking. The MSV 2016 will also feature the traditional cross-cutting project AUTOMATION – Measuring, Control, Automation and Regulation Technology, which is organized in cooperation with the Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic and highlights the possibilities of use of automation technology in various sectors of the fair.

China to be represented big style at this year's MSV

China will present itself in the official "China Pavilion" in Hall A1, with the participation of provinces and cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Hilongjian, Dalian, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Hebei, Tianjin and Shandon, which will introduce important Chinese holdings and technology companies, such as China Railway, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, China Machinery Engineering Corporation, Yanfeng Automotive Interiors of SAIC Motor Corporation, Shanghai Electric, Inesa, Shanghai Rainbow Fish Ocean Technology, Zhejiang CF Moto and Wanxiang Group. It will also include the participation of small and medium size enterprises from Zhejiang Province in Hall H.

China‘s total exhibition area will be 2.700 to 3.000 square meters with more than 150 exhibitors and other stakeholders involved in the preparation. It will be the largest participation of a partner country in the history of the MSV. In addition to the opening ceremony of the Chinese pavilion on Monday 3 October, in the morning of Tuesday 4 October will be held a Czech-Chinese industrial forum, B2B meetings with Czech partners and a Chinese gala evening.

So far, Chinese companies have participated in such an extent mainly at the industrial trade fair in Hannover. Their participation in such a magnitude at a fair in Central Europe is now happening for the first time ever. China's appearance as partner country of MSV reaffirms the political and economic development of relations between the two countries in recent years.
