International Milling Industry, Bakery and Confectionery Fair

Bakers will look for masters in their field


How does a professional baker's centre operate? It will be there, for visitors to see with their own eyes. The Business Association of Bakers and Confectioners of the CR will hold the Czech Junior Baker competition finals in Hall P. From 28 February to 1 March, the best young bakers from vocational and technical schools throughout the Czech Republic will compete there.

"Two years ago we decided to deliver more attractive competitions and attract the attention of professionals, sponsors and media. Therefore, the 17th edition of this national competition for young talent of bakery and confectionery will again be held at the baking centre in Hall P," said the professional union president Jaromír Dřízal. An opportunity to watch contestants’ performances will be attractive for professionals and visitors from other fields who are not often able to watch the entire process of production of bread, from mixing and shaping to baking.

At the same time there will also be the 1st edition of "The most attractive product of the Year" competition, which is open in the categories of bakery and confectionery products. The title is open to organizations, schools and individuals, and competitive products will be exhibited throughout the MBK Fair in a showcase in Hall P.
