Sobotka: It is necessary to continue with digitization

Czech companies are willing to accept up to five thousand refugees from Syria. This was stated by the President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Hanák at a press conference held after the meeting of the entity. He stressed that refugees must have the necessary qualifications and comply with the law. The Association conducted a survey on the possible reception of migrants among dozens of large industrial enterprises.

KUKA and Siemens introduced a new product on the Czech market

Two leaders in their field, KUKA as Europe's leading supplier of industrial robots and automated manufacturing systems, and SIEMENS, a leading company in the field of industrial automation, presented the results of their collaboration today – they have developed software interfaces to their KUKA KRC4 and Siemens Sinumerik 840D control systems and thus enabled their interconnection and cooperation. This makes it possible to control both the CNC machine and the robot from the generally known Sinumerik control system, supplied by Siemens. This innovation will bring significant simplification of service and many other benefits. Both partners hope for a wider deployment of robots in everyday engineering production.

Milos Zeman is the first president who visited the Assembly of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic which took place in the Rotunda of Hall A at the International Engineering Fair in Brno. The President was informed of the agenda which focused on the digitization development of the Czech Republic in relation to industry, breaking the limits in power generation, the field of education and lack of technical personnel, educational reform and the support of regional education, funding of higher technical education, the labour market, etc.

MSV 2015 shows the industry of the future

Visitors of the 57th International Engineering Fair in Brno are in for interesting technologies, products and services from around the world. Their favour will be sought by 1504 exhibiting companies from 32 countries and almost half of them are international participants this year - 47 percent. The biggest turnout comes as usual from Germany, which sent 277 companies to exhibit; they are followed by Slovakia, China, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Exhibitors’ stands filled virtually the whole exhibition centre including the outdoor spaces and also all conference rooms will be fully utilized with a record 70 events of the supporting programme. During the five days at least 75 thousand visitors are expected to pass through the gates of the exhibition centre.

Exhibitors’ interest in our key industrial trade fair confirms the well-known fact that the Czech economy grows the fastest among the countries of the European Union this year.

A full 44% of all applications this year fall within the fields of metalworking and forming machines, tools, welding and surface treatment. Even in the year of the EMO world exhibition in Milan the Czech and Slovak manufacturers of machine tools participate in MSV unabated, some even on a larger area and with a number of exhibit novelties.
