Stanislav Odvárka, business director of Sportcarp Vápeník a Šaravec:
We have participated in RYBAŘENÍ from its very first year. We are here to sell but at the same time it is an important place where we can meet with our stable customers – we distribute our catalogue to them shortly before the fair. Here in Brno we also launch our sales for the new season and the exhibition kind of suggests what that season will be like. This year there are many people therefore I believe that we can expect a better season than the previous one.

From the perspective of the exhibitors’ participation we can rate this year’s RYBAŘENÍ as successful one, therefore the visitors have a lot to look at and admire. There are many visitors and thanks to the larger space and wider aisles people do not have to crowd that much. The cramped and depressed feeling that people criticised last year is gone, and that is good. According to what I have seen here most of the exhibitors were very busy explaining, presenting, and selling. The sunny weather helped for sure because it induces the right fishing feeling.

The exhibitors with whom I spoke are happy with their sales. The visitors really buy a lot, definitely more than at the exhibition in Prague. Brno has a longer tradition after all, it is the key exhibition for Slovakia too, and the fishermen are more used to coming here to buy and make their business.

Next year’s FISHING edition will take place on 8 – 11 March 2012.
