The boom in agricultural and grower production was surprisingly not stopped even by the global economic crisis and last year’s figures are breaking all records. Most exported goods into the neighbouring countries include cheeses and dairy products but also meat, fruit and vegetables. Since accession to the EU in 1995, the food exports have grown by 15% while imports grew by 9.1%.
