November 8, 2009 BVV Press Center - This year, for the first time, the 5th International Fair of Consumer Electronics and Digital Entertainment DIGITEX and the 26th International Exhibition of Photographic Technology INTERKAMERA were held jointly with four sports fairs – SPORT Life, Bike Brno, boat Brno and Caravaning Brno.
The joint date was very happy as their interesting programs attracted a broad spectrum of visitors to the Exhibition Centre. Also exhibitors of Digitex and Interkamera were satisfied, digital entertainment is targeted just for the people who deal with recreation sports, most of them are also photographers and like travelling.
The importance of the project Digitex and Interkamera was supported by VIP from the world of information technologies Yoshikato Tamura, President of the European representation of the company Sharp Electronics Europe and Ray Wu, ASUS business development manager. The fair was also attended by personalities of the social life, for instance Czech Miss 2009 Iveta Lutovská, ice-hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hašek and the renowned traveller and photographer Jiří Kolbaba.
Visitors were satisfied
From the visitor survey it followed that most of them (93 %) have been decided to attend the next run of the fairs. Altogether 80 % of them were satisfied with this year’s visit, most with their specialist standard, organization and quality of the products. Visitors could view a broad offer of consumer electronics, on which firms gave a fair discount. Also fans of digital entertainment were satisfied, PC games were available on a lot of stands.
Series of WGT tournaments, dance and fast sms
In Hall C the most prestigious Czech-Slovak series of tournaments World GameMaster Tournament was staged, nominated players fought for the awards in the amount of more than 300 000 CZK, dedicated by companies Asus and Intel. More than 700 players entered for the on-line qualification, 104 best of them went through to the final. WGT final took place on several tens of efficient computers. The public tournament was also attended by a Czech-Slovak girl team. The interest in PC games has recently been enormous, also hardware producers, for whom they represent a platform to show their latest products, share in it.
Neither fans of dancing were deceived. In Hall C the 5th Championship of the Czech Republic in this discipline was staged. Dancing games called Machine Dance have been considered a sport in a number of countries . The champion of the Czech Republic is Jana Štefánková from Beroun.
To a traditional accompanying program of the Digitex Fair also a competition in a quick writing of sms into handies belonged. The 7th run was attended by 230 prevailingly young people, for the first time a woman won – Tereza Šíbalová who was able to write the competition text of 160 characters within 0:58:85 s.
Technology & Design had hot novelties on show
Visitors to the Digitex Fair were greatly interested in the project Technolgy & Design in which they could see modern audio-video technology in combination with attractive home (interior) design. Novelties were LCD TV sets Sharp with LED backlight and consumption less than 100 watts. Also fans of demanding stereophonic listening were satisfied, the set B&W for 1 400 000 CZK was on display.
In Hall P every day a CPress Show was held – lectures by the editors of the periodicals Živě.cz and Computer. They dealt with topical themes from IT world – social networks, music and film, notebooks, navigation, digital cameras, LCD and plasma TV sets.
Interkamera attracted with workshops, photos and lectures by Jiří Kolbaba
It was rather busy on the stands Fuji Film and JVC, pleased were also fans of the brands CANON, SONY, OLYMPUS. Lots of them attended workshops on the stand Photon Europe, where they could watch e.g. technologies of a studio lighting, possibly take snaps of models in person. Seminars were aimed at creative photography, composition, colour composition and a work with light. In a similar spirit was also the presentation of the company Fotoaparat.cz. Zoner software presented its latest product for photograph processing – Zoner Photo Studio 12.
A highlight of Interkamera was the exhibition and lectures of the photographer and traveller Jiří Kolbaba who visited over 130 countries. Conference room was always fully crowded. Visitors were also attracted by the exhibition of photos of Adolf Zika (Calendar magic), Michael Fokt and Matěj Třešňák.

We are very satisfied with the number of visitors to this year’s fair. The sales on our stand surpassed our expectations. Visitors were of course aimed at our discounts. Also at the period of crisis the sales of notebooks were better than expected. Most UL 30A models were sold.

Our firm is satisfied that Digitex and Interkamera had a joint date with the SPORT Life. Our stand was visited by more people, we namely deal with the sales of maps and navigation targeted for both cyclists and people interested in entertainment. Our stand was always fully crowded. We will not be missing in the next run.

The standard of services on the part of BVV Trade Fairs Brno has been better from year to year. I must say that all our demands were met at once. Our stand was visited by visitors who wanted to talk to professionals. We are not here to establish new business contacts, but for our final customers.

We are satisfied with the joint date of these projects with sports fairs, thanks to which we had more visitors. We were satisfied, we invited to Brno our business partners.

Our stand was fully crowded, we are very satisfied with the number of visitors this time. We sold our products (mats for dancing). I believe, when I appraise this fair, I will immediately send an application for the next run.

Thanks to the fact that this year’s fairs were of a commercial character, we sold a lot of licences. This show is the first acquaintance of the general public with our new product Zoner Photo Studio 12. We are satisfied with the joint date with the SPORT Life Fair as more specialist customers visited our stand and also that we do not deal with products for professionals, but for the general public.

This year we are very satisfied with the number of visitors, which surpassed our expectations. I think that the joint date of Digitex with Sport Life is a good solution. The target group of customers interested in luxury audio-visual technology is similar to that of luxury boat and caravans.

We came to Brno with a new antivirus ambulance which visits, once a month, regional towns. The best roadshow was involved. We also offered a 25 % discount on our products. Visitors were interested in them, it was rather busy on our stand. We also staged, four times a day, various competitions.

The number of visitors to our stand was O.K., every workshop was attended by about 30 persons. They tested all technologies offered on our stand. Our studio is satisfied with its participation in the show. It came up to our expectations and we attracted people to our workshops which we stage all the year round.

The show came up to firm’s expectations, Nokia presented its new services - portal ovi.com. The number of visitors to our stand was high, the visitors were interested in the competitions we staged during the fair. |
