39th International Fashion, Footwear, and Leatherwear Fairs STYL and KABO were the biggest B2B presentation of the fashion industry and a leading contracting event for the autumn and winter season 2012/2013 on the Czech and Slovak markets. During the three days the exhibited presentation were visited by over six thousand professional visitors.
Calvin Klein is a women’s brand in Czech Republic
In global perspective the Calvin Klein brand is preferred by men (55:45) but in the Czech Republic three quarters of its customers are women. “Our key programme is ladies’ Calvin KLEIN that still has a good growth potential,” says one of the regular exhibitors at STYL, Predrag Ivosevic, representative of Donet Corporation, which is the exclusive distributor of Calvin Klein Underwear in the Czech Republic since 2004.
The wool kingdom of Giesswein
The Austrian company Giesswein is exhibiting at STYL for the first time. Although it has been running for six decades it entered the Czech and Slovak markets only recently. The product range consists mostly of specially treated woolen products, which make up for 90 % of the offer. The garments combine tradition with innovation with a touch of folklore and timeless design.
Happy V Andrada: Finalist from Philippines
Asian artistic confrontation of fashion ideas were brought to TOP STYL DESIGNER 2012 by a young author from Philippines Marian Andrada, working under nom de guerre Happy V Andrada. She managed to get among the seven finalists with her TRIANGULAR EVOLUTION collection balancing between avant-garde and streetwear.

The current trends for autumn – winter 2012/2013 were presented at trade fair seminar “Hybrid times – fashion aiming to the new modern” by the analytic expert of German Fashion Institute Izabela Ockenfels.

Monday visit from Livia Klausová
The wife of the President of Czech Republic, Mrs. Livia Klausová, has been a regular visitor to the STYL and KABO fashion fairs in Brno for many years. This year she spent the Monday morning browsing the exhibited clothing, shoes, and fashion jewellery, paying visit to twelve predominantly Czech companies and professional associations.
Swimwear and lingerie that suits every type
One of the exhibitors at the STYL fair in the Lingerie category is the corporation of Ladislava Trčková, which deals in wholesale, retail and distribution of Eurofala swimwear and is the general representative of this brand in the Czech Republic.
Intimate inspiration from the past
History is a source of endless inspiration for contemporary designers of fashion and lingerie. This is documented by the RETRO LINGERIE EXHIBITION at the P Hall, which features eighteen mannequins dressed in historic lingerie from the 19th and early 20th century – from a period of budding revolution in fashion when body-friendly styles were beginning to take the lead.
